Hi Guys,
I am planning a trip to Cairns from the 6th of June to the 9th of June for kiting.
Is this a good time to be kiting there?
Can you please share some ideas, locations and some accommodation (preferably where kiters stay)
Would be really appreciative.
Thanks!
Head to Yorkers Knob mate spent some time there . Good steady winds friendly locals but look out for the resident croc in the creek south of yorkers.

Disregard last sentence. You'd have much higher chances stung by stingers (and none around this time of year anyway), than a croc.
Once the Aquis resort has been built behind the lagoon area, it will be even safer as those plans include draining out the creek and removing any resident crocs - obviously for tourism sake and $$$. In fact I bet, Yorkeys will be the mega star attraction for kite surfers all over the world once this happens. Can't wait!
Thanks guys.
Is there anyone from the locals or a shop that can lend me a board. I am paying of course.
Anything from 136 to to 146 would do for me.

Drop into Kite Boarding Cairns right on Yorkey's. They will look after you mate.
