Hi Guys, i'm new to Brisbane and a kite surf learner (on the cusp of getting on the board). I'm keen to find a buddy (s) (male or female) to go out kite surfing with? any responses would be great! I'm a 30 year old pomme.

SEQKA has a website with the application form on it, but at the moment the web site is being upgraded and will be online very soon.
I will e-mail you the application form today, you can pay it online through SEQKA bank transfer system. All the info is on the form.
The benifits in joining SEQKA is that you will become a memeber of both SEQKA and ASKA and will be covered with public liability insurance which is a good idea these days as there are more and more people getting into the sport.
Also SEQKA will be holding ride days on the Gold Coast, Sunny Coast and in Bris in the future and social nights for club members.
As for a kite buddy, I'm sure if you go to your local beach theres always someone there for advice, and if down the goldie call into Shearwater.

im Sam and i spent 5 awesome months in Perth ... and i'd like to move to QLD to go kitesurfing. Im in Melbourne now but the weather is very cold and the beach not so good for kitesurf ...
I'd would like to move ASAP to QLD and join SEQKA but i don't know which place (Gold Coast, Brisbane, Townsville,...) is the best for the next few months (kind of beach and weather) ... and where the SEQKA usually meet.

i live in Gold Coast cos Brisbane isn't close to the beaches.
In Gold Coast there are a couple of spot with flat water that should be good to improve your kitesurfing (me too )
Let me know when you arrive and we can meet on the beach ...
