Hi all
Im commencing a project up in Bowen shortly and will be spending a bit of time up there over the next few months. Just chasing some local knowledge regarding kiting locations around town....do / donts, stingers, etc.
Staying around Queens Beach area, can you kite here?
Kings Beach looks like it would work?
Alva is only 130km north, so ill be doing a few trips up that way when time permits, but wanting the low down on local Bowen spots in and around town.
From my limited experience the place is sick, lots of differing angles on the beaches and flat water around the don river. I know theres a few people on here that will be able to help you out a bit more indepth re wind direction but you'll be looking at a lot of SE trades around then. I'll be back up that way through May/June so may very well run into ya for a sesh.
Cheers for the feedback guys!
Looking forward to getting out of Bris and getting some decent wind up north over the next few months ![]()
Mark
When are you heading up there?
My trips will be regular, but only a few days at a time.
Should be able to organise the timing if you let me know when your up there ![]()
Currently chasing down rental properties at Queens Beach for my site guys, not sure where Ill be staying, most likely just a motel somewhere.
Yeah the Don looks good.........little worried about those logs that move though!![]()
