Hi guys,

we´ll come over from Munich and will ride from Townsville to Cairns/Port Douglas in the first week of June for kiting.

Can anyone give me a hint where to kite? My girlfriend wants to take beginners lessons and I consider about carrying gear or rent.

so:

any tips for kite schools in nice areas, great conditions and cool people?

what kite size do you reccomend to carry (I do not want to carry both 9 and 13 sqm)

Thanks a lot, looking forward to your area!!

Hey mate,

Not a lot of wind here, definately take the 13m. The guy mentioned, Marvin is a really good dude and will help you out in Townsville. Main kiting spot here is Pallarenda unless you want to drive south for an hour and you can get to Alva Beach, this is where the Nationals were held and is a much better place to kite than Townsville.
