I've recently picked up windsurfing again after 5 years, and was also thinking of getting into kiting. I was wondering if there was anyone who is also thinking of doing lessons to go in for those 2 on 1 sessions.

Hey mate, I'm learning at the moment with a few other guys. Have done 1 of the 2:1 lessons with Ride, another one coming up. I have some second hand gear and have been practicing. nothing beats kite practice on your own. If I didn't have mates wanting to learn it too I would have got the 1:1 lesson to speed up the learning.

Windsurfer I had 2 days of 3:1 with a bad teacher, lost interest then a few years later 8 hours 1:1 which was far better and well worth extra cost. You learn loads about safety, sounds boring but you are learning how the kite flies and how to control it, and unlike windsurfing you can easily get injured if you don't do the safety.
