The Freestyles are going to be held in front of the West Beach SLSC next weekend. They'll be sponsors at the event, there's a licenced bar where you can watch from the balcony and the dinner is also available for when we kick on in the evening. This of course assumes that weather conditions are favourable; if not the SLSC bar will be getting plenty of patronage...
An email is going out shortly to all SAKSA members with more details. If you aren't a SAKSA member but want more info, flick me an email at will@saksa.com.au and I'll send it out. Otherwise, keep an eye on the SAKSA website.

Hi all,
I've had a few queries about Airport restrictions and the comp.
The Civil Aviation Authority has issued SAKSA a permit to allow its members to ride at a designated area at West Beach for the event only which we'll go through in the Competitor briefing.
It's great news that they gave us the approval and if all goes well at the comp then it hopefully opens the door for future events at that beach area.

just wondering i know we need saksa and aksa to compete but i did a bank transfer in the week before the wave states and still havent recieved any paperwork or anything or my tag or anything, will i get it soon, can i compete because ive paid even though i dont have any documentation???

You should be ok to compete, if Chappy has your membership form filled in and signed. (and payment went through) can take a couple of weeks for the tags to come from AKSA.

Obviously my lack of jokes and your pocket book full of them indicates that you went to the circus to get an education and I went to a proper school to get mine.
no my private school education jordy expanded my vocabulary increased my wit and sharpened my mind for intellegent and Eloquent comebacks and well formed initial remarks.
Does anyone know how much sumo suits cost to hire? I think they would make great half time entertainment with the 2 private school boys Sully and Jordy duking it out at the State Titles.

You're calling me soft Sully? This is coming from you, the king of the jelly bellies!!! We wouldn't need 2 sumo suits either, Sully has his own already and seems to wear it 24/7...

A Jordy v Sully Expression Session Kite Off this weekend. Public V Private. Slingshot v Cabrinha.
The most elaborate aerial trick is the winner and even better if you land it. It'll test your balls rather than your skills as judged by your peers (that being the chorus of half boozed lads hanging off the balcony at the SLSC...).
Kudos to the winner for not being the loser.
Eternal shame to the loser as we'll have a perpetual trophy made up in their honour. It'll be awarded to the biggest stack at the titles and it could be called the "I can't stick tricks like...(Jordy or Sully)..." award. Has a nice ring to it.
If either of you aren't keen on the idea, we might just find that you'll be out there together in one of the heats anyway...
The problem is Chap that we are both private school lads. Maybe something along the lines of the PVC Cup might be in order. Prostestant vs Catholic!!!
