There is a flat water lake called Lake George, its out of beach Port. You will need a 4WD to get out to it. Its a massive salt lake, not very deap but...

It takes about 1hour to get there from Robe.. if you need direction hit us up at the comp site..

Kooky, Lake George is only 20 to 25 minutes from Robe, you can acess it from the main round between Robe and Beachport. just turn in at the gravel road across from the woakwine cutting, at the road signs with a camera picture on it, this road was put in a bit over a year ago by the local farmer for his boy to kite there and you can drive in by car easy. now we all have easy access ( thanks Mike) pretty sure Pete and Ant some local boys where talking about setting up a kicker ramp there as well. i am a poley but will see ya there, better practice your beach cricket skills. Awesome weekend all, had a blast. Pity about the wind but plenty to keep us entertained. Great work to all the crew for putting it together and to Stewie for a massive effort.
Hope everyone got home safely. Easter is on April 2 next year so only 354 days to go...!

I Had a great weekend and will be back next year, congrats to all the people that put the event together.

I had a bit of a run in with the law after the presentation pulled over for a RBT was like this

Waxy- hey there officer, i wont pass your test because i just had a mouth full of this cugar can.

Officer-Youll have to blow anyway

Waxy-blow

Officer-You only have the one.

Waxy- no mate ive had a couple

officer-can you please move forward a bit, are you on your full licence.

waxy- yeah man.

Officer-ok you can go.

Waxy-What i blew under

officer-No your over but i can smell it on your breath see you latter.

Waxy-???????????????.
action....drive bitch.

cant believe i didnt have to wait to blow again or even show my licence.

WTF?

Only made it another 100m before finishing my can.

Hope everyone made it home safe. Good times

Hey crew, thanks heaps to the massive turn out..

Sorry about the wind, but I think most crew had fun any how..

Just need to thank a few crew, the sponsors for giving heaps of prizes..

Anthony Moore, from Robe for his big effort, helping to get every thing happening down at robe, and for his efforts over the next couple of days telling the robe locals kiters are nice guys and they all are not that bad..

And you guys for being there.. massive.. so many crazy times and many more crazy photos for the times you forgot happened....

12 months until the next Robe Easter classic, so rest up, train hard on the drinking and it all happens again real soon..

Once again thanks heaps.

Thanks to all the crew that made it a super memorable non event- we didn't get the right conditions but everyone got amongst it and made their own fun.

Congrats to the winners of the major prizes. Jeff Williams was a deserving recipient of the new LF kiteboard, the guy brings his ski down every year and hands it around as well as always lending a hand however and whenever it is needed, congrats Jeff.

No doubt the Elements kiteboarding School Advanced lessons help Corey Capaldo to improve quickly - the future of SA kiteboarding is coming....

Simon P got the Cabrinha SQuad that I think every kiter was drooling over- there are a few jealous lads out there, enjoy mate.

The thanks...
Stewie- big effort from you, love ya work fella.
Onboard- nice work.
Coopers- love those beers
Red Bull- those things helped me through some rough mornings(see sponsor above).
Moorey- killer effort making sure stuff was good to go.
Alex and Hayden- big effort again dropping the hot tunes and keeping us all entertained
To all the sponsors who donated prizes and product and to all the crew who pitched in and helped out when needed.

Oh yeah and Marty the 4wd instructor for helping me regain some of my dignity....

I had a blast and really do appreciate the efforts of all who help make it happen and the crew who rock up and make it so big !!!
See you all next year !!!!!

yeh thanks everyone for a sick weekend. The 4wd trip was def the highlight, thanks all for letting me ride along.

I have a few awsome pictures that i'll put up when i get the chance, including a great series of jeff getting some big air in the jeep on that second to last hill climb, you deserve first prize for that effort alone!

maybe we should start a 4wd thread for pictures ect????

What an awesome weekend, even without having wind!!!

I'd be keen to see those 4wd photos, I think Inge has some too. Might be good idea to start a separate thread for them though.

Cheers all,

i'm always happy to help people get bogged

That was a great day out, we have to plan more days like that next year if there is no wind.

Hopefully we'll have a landcruiser again by then so we can join in.

As always great fun, albiet mainly surfing, 4wding and fishing, like that's hard to take, and those few who did liquid consumption testing.

I got a few photos and some video of mainly the SUP boys, and complete evidence that Mark from Warrmanbool and I did get a brief kitesurf on Tuesday morning, yes it did blow, but to put your minds at rest it lasted about 1 hour on and off and then dropped to nothing then picked up again and so on. However, we did ride s few waves on kites and were a little dissapointed the prizes were already gone ;-( alas

check the photos and the slaming SUP action and just the rest of it is banter and hanging out so don't complain if it gets boring. Music by Ray Wynne.
