Well its official, the 2009 Cabrinha Kite Surf National has been announced for Robe. Oct 21st to Oct 25th 2009.
Expect double elimination format and divisions including Opens, juniors, Masters, Grand Masters and Women’s.
It has been published in this months Australian Kiteboarding Mag, with next month have entry forms..
Even if you are not going to compete, come down, bring the family, mates, other halfs.. And join in the massive party..
It’s going to as much fun as The Easter Classic, just longer, so you might need to get those arms in that training for all that red bull that you will be drinking..

For accomodation and stuff get onto the Robe website,
but keep in mind Happy Shack Property management Robe is putting up heaps of cash for prizes so support them if possible.
Also, melalucia motel and Lake view appartments are chipping in and offering discounts to kiters. Grant high school camp site offer cheap dorm accom for big groups(around 25 people, $15pp/pn).
Robe Hotel have promised to get organised this year and have a band coming from somewhere for the saturday night. and are doing beer and parmy, or some other special for us for the week. Stuey will be banned!
Wild Mulberry will be most likely hosting Risemann on the Friday-
Presentations will be at the Bowling club again.
And in the throws of organising a night at the Golf club with a game and meal deal if the weathers not favourable, and could be a chance to get a DJ and make a party of it.
Also getting permission from council for a Bon fire, in town for one night too!

Stewie- you were doing handstands with your pants off later that night- kinda sums up how pissed and stupid you were......red card would be well deserved. Robe pub showed the worst hospitality I have ever seen that night but you were totally out of control !
Back on the topic of this comp- awesome work by Cab and Moorey to get this up and running.
Hopefully the numbers will be huge. I personally know a lot of crew will be coming down for it ! Got my holiday house booked for the week with some friends, so keen to enjoy a bit of the relaxation that Robe has to offer.
Even if you don't want to compete come down and support the event, it is sure to be a spectacle.
There is a beautiful wave for a surf, great 4wd tracks, fishing, golf and numerous other ways to enjoy time down there.
Good restaurants for a nice dinner and the special vibe that only a smallish country town can offer.

So I know how to have an good time on these road trips..
And to make things clear.. 2 years ago at the Whayalla Demo weekend, I was asked to leave the pub, due to a water fight at 9.37pm.. Nothing that bad..
Barmera, 2 years running I have been the last one home, and as for Robe.. Well I have been out there many times, The Robe was just not playing the game, at all that night.. And I left, I wasnt asked.... The Robe Bouncer knew it was a bad night..
But there is always the next road trip..
As for the Naked handstands, well we needed some entertanment at the house..
just to clarify things stuie, jordan and myself carried you to a taxi last year in bamera, and you def were not the last one out :) lol still a bloody good one though
Hey, i live on a farm down near beachport and robe nd have a kicker i built with a mate just before i did my knee in, if people are keen to hit it during nationals wind on lake george which is 30 mins away from robe!! all welcome, dnt know how it rides yet haha!
Late's news, Keahi is coming to Robe for the national, Keahi just won the Nationals in free style, beating our own Ben Winding.. He is also bring his SUP for some fun.. This boy rocks on that.
