Barmera 4th annual Kiteboading and Windsurfing Experience 09

Well after the massive success of last years trip, The Riverland people are keen to do it all again, even bigger again this year...

So if you missed out last years trip, by now you would of heard all about the crazy fun, that the crew had...

Even that there isn't much kiting and windsurfing done, it is still an epic weekend.

We had crew from all over the state merge into Barmera, for a very social, entertaining weekend..

This years the plans are to make it bigger, better and crazier...

DATES ARE NOVEMBER 6th, 7th and 8th..

Accommodation this year is great, The owner wants us all to stay at the Lakes Shed and Eco Park.
Where we will be just out of town, on the lake front, and we will have the whole place to our sleeves.. (Better than early morning barking dogs)

Here is a run down of the caravan park.
Situated directly on Lake Bonneys foreshore. The Lake Shed and Eco Park offers a range of accommodation from Cabins & Cottages to Power sites and Bunkhouse at all Reasonable prices.
Ph (08) 85887010. email lakeshed@bigpond.com

We need to support the owner, he is putting money into the aquatic sports on the lake..

Run Down of events,,

Friday night.. A welcome Bonfire party at the Lakes Shed & Eco Park.
Saturday Daytime, Demo day and ride on the lake, in front of the footy club/Skate park
Saturday night (to be confirmed) Dinner, Drinks Live Band and show at the footy club.
Sunday Morning, recovery breaky and lake activities.

Other than a massive party weekend, there is a reason why we all travel to Lake Bonney..

Over the last couple of year, Lake Bonney has had some bad press about the lack of water, the goal of each years trip is to show that there is still water in the lake, and its a good place to travel to and have fun..

Any question, please contact me (Stewie) Ph 0419 847 215 or email action_mark@hotmail.com

Hey guys just updating the Barmera experience..

Due to things our of are hands, The Lakes Shed and Eco Park has a booking for that weekend.. So we are back to our normal Caravan Park, that we stayed at last year..

Good news is that, there are new management from last year, so they don't know anything at all..

So get in now and book. You will get 10% of the price if you say you are from the kitesurfing/ windsurfing trip..
It looks like that the Footy Club on the Saturday night is going to be massive..

Heaps of Jet skis are coming, just in case of no wind..

Hey guys just updating, The Footy Club is putting on a Band for the Saturday, which should be massive, heaps of locals are willing to party with us.. Also i just got a email from Kim, The motel near the footy club is also keen to have us stay there, so you have a quite option than the caravan park..

Here is Kim email.
hi stewi, kym here, hamood was talking to pete and was wondering if you can add www.barmeralakeresortmotel.com.au/ as some of the guys who want a slightly quieter night may stay there (eg; pete himself i think!).i have just come from there and they too said if you mention the 'Onboard Weekend' you will get a special price. It is right next to the caravan park and on the lake front. rooms start at $85 - $110 for 2 people. $15 extra p/person per room (less what ever they will give off). i am hoping to catch the footy club this week to see if they will organise a band or d.j. and a few free meals or/and beers as prizes. also my mate has the deli in the main drag so i will hit him for a few free breakfasts as prizes- what do you think?. in about 4 weeks the will be topping the lake up with some fresh water so that will be perfect timing. was thinking of going to church to pray for wind for that wekend but couldnt quite bring myself to do it. i will keep you posted- send me an email so i have yours listed. regards kym

Better get booking...

Not to far away now, i know every one is heading to the wave nationals but hope you save some energy for Bamara. After last year i cant wait. Hopefully a few more crew from whyalla are going to make the trip only a few weeks to go we will see you there. Watch out for our grommies with the gargle blasters and skittle bombs. could be messy.

Pearth isnt really that far,

Bamara is one of the highlights of the kitting season, no Whyalla comp this year so definatly looking forward to catching up with all the adelaide boys at lake bonny and hopefully get in some kitting. By the look of it there should be quit a few whyalla lads there this year.

Bring on the flat water and good times!

Hey guys, well the weather is looking sick, for some fun and games... 36C and maybe 15 - 18knots

Friday night, when evey you arrive, we are hitting up the local pub in barmera, there is only one..

So it would be good to meet every one there, no matter what time you arrive..

Myslef and crew will not be there until 10ish.. So people have to work on friday, not like that whyalla crew

Yeah unfortunatly no whyalla comp

The tides etc for the same time were going to be rubish, and moving the date was going to be a nightmare. So it was decided to go bigger and better next season instead

He will have to catch us first[}:)] If he doesnt have flashing lights or a gun he has no chance!

It would be a shame if he is going to give us a hard time, i personaly wouldnt come back again next year I like coming to Bamara but definatly wont be putting on a pfd to kite with . Whats he going to fine us for ridding to fast when we come in past the boys as well or Not carrying flares or having a eperb?

We had a marine and harbours guy start chasing people around at easter 2 years ago, but because no one was wearing a pfd he couldnt enforce it and just warned people or he would have been chasing people around all weekend.
