hi Dale,
not 100% sure when it will finish- the weather and conditions will dictate. Come down and get involved even if you leave before it's over !
mmm is there also some room for someone who has been on the water for not more than 7 times,
quick learner though
Hi All,
The charts have been dissected and the maps pored over – with the input of a cast of thousands-
8am signup- pay ya money and get your gear ready !
8:30am sharp briefing- the dos and don’ts as well as how to score
9am- comp kick off ( dependant on huey)
As previously stated- $10 entry, must be a current SAKSA member.....please have the correct money it would help us out heaps.
We are expecting a good swell and some solid wind so get pumped ready for a great day.
Any extras who would like to help out would be most welcome as with the extreme conditions the more beach helpers launching, landing and rescuing the better !
Comp site will be 3 poles at Seaford on the Mid Coast. If the conditions change during the day we may make a lunch time call to move to Goolwa so have the tank full.
See you all down there.
Regards
SAKSA CREW
hey crew!
if the wind in adelaide is anything like it is up here, you guys will be in for a gnarly day.
hope it finally falls into place and you can run a comp.
enjoy, good luck and safe riding.
Well the State titles finally got run on Saturday. We all asked for wind and thats what good ol mother nature delivered. No doubt the conditions were trying with the swell not as large as we had hoped for,but the strong wind had everyone holding on. With people putting up 5m kites and coming in saying that that had no shortage of power, you know its windy. All heats were run and we got results in every division which was great.
A massive Thankyou goes out to all the guys and girls that gave up there day to help out. A special mention to Chris Guster, Sam Neeft, Troy Robeck, Will Chapman and Geoff Gent for spending the whole day in the wet and windy conditions and didn't even have time to put a kite up themselves. With out all the crew who helped out during day, the event couldn't be run. Also a massive heads up to Easto and Jacqui who drove from Pt Lincoln to compete. And a massive Thankyou to everyone that came down and competeted and supported the competition, we also coundn't do it without you
.
The results will be announced at a presentation and movie night to be held very soon, so stay tuned for further details.
Thankyou, SAKSA ![]()
From a competitors perspective i had a great day. Conditions were pretty gnarly and was struggling big time on the 9m Rhino at times but had an absolute ball regardless. Was nice just to smack the lip of a couple waves again.
Was awesome to be hanging out with all the crew again 2, super friendly environment and loads of fun.
Thanks to all the SAKSA crew and volunteers who gave up their saturday to run and organise the event. You guys did a great job. And thanks to all the other competitors for making it such a great day.
See you all on the water again soon.
Excellent day
awesome typical mid coaster with howling winds
I thought the conditions were pretty great actually, although clean 4-5 foot sets would be great the reality is those are rare Seaford days for kitsurfing.
Thanks to SAKSA for organising the comp as otherwise these things never happen.
Thanks heaps to the ground team who did a great job and man it was sketchy coming in to land with that tide in the end .
Well done
