can anyone out there give an objective comparison between the new and last year's underground flx boards? does the double concave make much of a difference, and do the boards still flex in the same way?
They're basically the same board except the concave/centre spine thingie makes the 06 board track likes its on rails.
You can blast into a turn as fast as you like and the 06 model carves through and holds the speed all the way through. The 05 model was a bit looser and would tend to slide through the turns if your edging wasn't spot on.
The pads on the 06 are not stuck on and they are really easy to move and adjust. I like it a lot. 
the 06 models are alot better!! SPECIALLY IN THE SURF!! i started on a liquid force 150 (it was a good board for learning) then went onto 05 142 flx and it was a really good board!!
and a few months back i got the 06 flx. compared to the 05 models the 06 really go good in the chopp and carving and all the other stuff you do in the surf the 06 is way better
amacha - what size 06 u got, and how much do u weigh. What would u suggest for a 75-85 kg rider?
i ride a 142 flx and i am 105 kg, im not to sure about your weight, but i reackon a 128, dont go off that though because i dont really have a clue, but i do know that the boards ride really well i have ridden the 132 and i was opting on changing to that but short of cash so im probly going to settle with the 142 but yea i reckon yoju go for the 128 or 132
I broke my 05 132 FLX (took me a full year)
I have yet to break my 06 122 FLX
Don't know if that helps you, but I think the construction has improved from an already high standard.
