Hi. I`m only new to the sport but was wondering what the takoon nova 2 is like. im looking to buy a kite that would give me about 3 years. like something that is ok for beginners but would also give me something more advanced once i got a bit better. the nova 2 was recommended to me so just seeing what others thought. cheers.

takoon are a french sail manufacturer and produce one of the best quality kites on the market.

I owned a nova2 and found it quite amazing, i only recently sold it due to impending baby and lack of space.

If its in near new condition then it will last at least a few more years.

Its not the quickest kite on the market, but is super stable with lots of give.

I have the Nova 2 as well. For longevity, its definitely one of the best constructed kites on the market. Compare the thickness of the bridle to any other kite on the market and you'll see what I mean, way thicker than any others in the areas that wear the most. Great range range. Bar pressure is very light so it takes a couple of sessions to get used to it, but all in all, one of the best kites of 2007.
