The Escalades similar to these Bonifays (soz Chavl, these are bonifays not escalades) have a fairly large metal plate with quite a bit of room either side so even if it doesn't fit as is, you can easily drill another hole on the plate to fit to your lunacy as you can see in the pics. The new Synergy boots are coming out very shortly. They replaces the Escalades and supposed to be more supportive and comfy.

I've got 05 bindings that the velcro still works.

I tried a pair of these the other day. I'm very fussy about my bindings and these things are like sex for your feet !!!! I've ordered some and they are on the way. 12 month replacement warrantee on the velcro and the rest of the boot (Plus you'll be able to get spares in ya really need em). The velcro is the most heavy duty i've seen.

They are closed toe because they are actually wake boots - Shane Bonifay's pro model to be exact - Very very similar to Esc's though (Same base plate) and will definitely fit...

IMHO Closed toe boots aren't that good for kiting becauce its hard to get the sand out, and it's like riding with sandpaper in ya boot.
