I'm looking for new season kite for (surfboard) wave riding, downwinders along the WA coast. I'm considering (RRD Religion , Naish Trip) so far, but open to other brands - like Wainman. (I had Naish Park before) I'm open to other good brands - no compromise on quality is the key. What is the best wave kite for WA conditions? I'm not limited to Australian fashion/prices or shops supplies. Could you please voice you opinions or experiences? Thank you!
Kite size 10-11m
Rider: intermediate, 95kg
Style: Surf, wave
Surfboard: 5.3"
Weather:18-29 knots (then I have 7m)
As EPPO said, it's too early to tell how good the new models will be, but they probably won't be a huge amount better than the current crop. Which is amazing! And don't expect us to help anyway. The way you use your kite is far more important than anybody else's opinion. A lot of the guys with a surfing background just want a kite that'll sit there(BWS). Personally I move my kite around a lot, probably get more out of the kite than from the wave(RALLY,REO). That's your starting point. Try what ever you can get your hands on & see what appeals.

Now now cauncy. The way I read it, nobody really won anything in that review. They all were given their merits.
From the review it seemed:
Reo: Best all-rounder user friendly.
Wave: Fastest whippiest kite, likes to be moved.
Drifter: Slowest, most powered kite, more park n ride.
Religion: Somewhere between the Reo and Wave?
Cabo: Didn't pay much attention to this review...
Its a kite built on the Neo platform, but moved back towards the Vegas, so you are pretty right. It won't compete With those wave specific kites above, but it may give a lot more versatility for those freeriders who like a really good wave kite. That's my prediction.
Is this a s

Is this a subscription type thingy or do you have a link??
Yeh, been buying the mag for a few years but you can see it online at www.Kiteworld.com then navigate to gear reviews, pick your kit and read the reviews, id recommend a subscription its a wicked read , although from the UK they cover all international riders and disciplines,
All my gear was stolen a few weeks ago(Bandit 6's and surfboards), so used it as an opportunity to change. Picked up 2014 airush wave's 9&7m last week, that mike Birt in the UK shipped in early.
Had 3 hrs on the 9m so far which is great, like 2013's but possibly even more powerful. Not been out on the 7m yet but am gagging to!
mike
P.S Kiteworld is a great mag and the reviews are accurate in my opinion.
