Hey,
i have searched the forums i have read all the reviews on this site and others.
I am currently looking at 2010 Naish Torches and and 2010 2011 North rebels.
was wondering, i currently ride switchblades (2010) and am looking at getting a C to get into freestyle. I am ONLY looking at these 2 kites for the price and from what i understand still C's with decent depower and are not as "hardcore" as some of the others. What i was wondering is what are the pros of each, again from what i understand the vegas is a "more baby" version of the torch? Is the torch better to get in the long run? Also was wondering about the 2010 torch vs 2011 torch as some of the stuff i have heard about the 2011 torch was a little bit off?
btw i am around 67.5 kilos will be getting 2 kites and ride down in Victoria
thanks heaps in advance guys.
Considering they're both tensioned fifth line c-kites, they've both got different characteristics. I'd definitely recommend demoing one of each to see which one works for you.
Personally i love my Torches, but there are just as many Vegas riders that'll say the same.
In regards to the 2010 vs 2011 Torch, the bar pressure was a bit heavier on the 2011. I don't have a problem with it as my arms aren't the first thing to wear out on a session, but it's something to keep in mind.
If you want a forgiving C that still has performance on tap I suggest you demo an Ozone C4 too. SHQ in Melbourne or Kitepower in Geelong can (un)hook you up.
Just taken delivery of my 2012 C4s. Will review as soon as I have a few sessions.
