Disclosure: Kite only, rode on different bar, demo and ride anything I can. Have owned Wipika, Slingshot, North, Flexifoil and Takoon kites over the years.
Have been keen to ride these kites, Nicolas Caillou is a well known kite designer and been doing it longer than most. I have owned a couple of his kites and flown a few more.
I have been kiting a few years now and learned in the C kite era and consider myself a competent kiter.
I rode this kite one day last week in good NE wind with above average surf ![]()
The Kite
These kites are well made with lots of little things I like in a kite, 4 line, one pump, flush leading edge bumpers and good reinforcing etc.
The kite has the usual tuning options, bar pressure/turning speed and a simple short one pulley bridle.
The kite relauches easily, usual bar away and use steering lines. It also has ERA (easy relaunch assist) which I did not use as. This needs dedicated Zeeko bar which has the ERA line on the bar. Will try it when the new bar arrives.
The kite flys well, drifts down the line and is pretty much as per Zeeko propaganda, All Styles-No Compromise.
Speed wise, the kite flys like a 9m.
Some kites might be better for Surf or Freestyle, but as a very good allrounder, this kite, IMO fits the bill pretty well. I ride mostly surf and stoked!
I have only had one freestyle/freeride session and enjoyed that too.
I cant fault this kite as a good allrounder.
A big thank you from Lindsay from Kiteboarding Geraldton who sent me this brand new kite to demo.
I am happy to keep this one ( Clearance Sale Special
) and look forward to the new bar arriving with the 7m
This is a Zeeko Notus 3 and the new seasons kites, Notus 4 will be arriving.
If your over Geraldton way, Demo one from Lindsay
Ride them all
