I know this may attract the attention of the style police, but thought I would throw this one out there anyway...

Does anyone use wake vests while riding? I know that I have wasted alot of energy trying to stay afloat while re-launching in deeper water and though a wake vest might solve this problem.

If so what vest do you use? and does it inhibit your range of movement? I've been looking at the JetPilot A10s and the like but havnt been able to try one with my harness on.

Also does anyone have ride shorts? You know boardies with the wetsuit liner... They are supposed to be great in big stacks. Can anyone shed some light on these? Seems like they could so the trick. I know I feel it less in my wetty than in just my boardies.

Cheers,

Case

try the Liquid Force impact vest. It is comfortable, i can still throw tricks down and if i stack one it provides some protection, and it provides flotation. I even use it for wakeboarding now.

I don't use a wake vest unless hitting the kicker or slider, and wear the mystic one..They also have a impact jacket that has a indented spot so your harness fits really well.
Ride shorts I have the jet pilot ones with the inside but for some stupid reason they have a button on the front which pops open in big hard hits.
I now where the new Mystic control freak boardies, they have a fold up piece of metalit which goes under your harness stops any rashes.
ps they'll be out in december or january..

Mystic and dakine make the best vests for kiteboarding the Jetpilot vests are excellent quality and work ok with a seat harness, but will not fit with a waist harness. Jetpilot vests are rated PFD3, the other brands I mentioned are not, they are impact vest but still give a fair bit of flotation.
Jetpilot make several models of ride shorts, the plainer looking 'Crown Jewels" with the lace up front are the best, mine are 3 seasons old and still going strong.
Those shorts combined with a 1.5mm metalite mystic or NPX vest are all thats needed over most of the summer round Sydney and Brisbane.

Hi Steve,

I couldn't see any Jetpilot vests in your online store, do you stock them?
