WOW!!! I just tryed my new Vegas 14m '08 today for the first time. My weight is 90kg (before lunch) and the wind got up to a perfect 22knts down @ rosebud west today. I cannot believe the difference between the vegas 07 & 08 . They surely did their home work and ironed out all the bugs. The kite sat above your head and really quite stable ,a quicker turning kite then last year. The huge air (photos to prove) and hang time was just unbelievable.The power range was all thru the kite
(from bottom end to top end )also the depower was very good .I have been riding bow kites for the last 3 seasons, the transition across was no different and I must say these kites would be the best kite I have ever used. Once I tried the demo kite from RPS THE BOARD STORE down at elwood I was hooked and the bows got the flick. If your thinking of upgrading this season try these kites you will probably end up hooked too!.
Your saying they ironed out the bugs from last year but you were a Bow rider???
Did you fly last years?
Has the change in profile increased the power and the hang?
after yesterdays effort you can add, more depower, and depower cleat is way more versitile
i used to ride the vegas 12m 2007. i took the 12m 08 for a try, . this kite is definetly more stable in the air and sit well above your head. it boost higher and the hang time is amazing comparing to the 07.
it also relaunch better, i don't think it turns faster than the 07. i felt very safe with the 08. i also feel than there is a little bit less bar pressure than the 07 as i ride them back to back .
at the end of the day. i was happily surprised on the improvment and all the bits they change from the previous year.it s a new kite ...........as i was so happy about it i baught it .........great kite.
