82 kg, will kite any conditions, flat, choppy, waves, light wind, strong wind, sunshine, rain, stormy, don't care all good.

Sweet spot combo used 90 % of the time this summer - Torquay

11m Edge 12-28 knots (ridiculous low end and stretched to 28 last week)

Underground Flx 142 x 42 ( an oldy but a goody) just replaced with Axis Vanguard 132 x 41 ( the Vanguard performs just as well as the Flx at the low end )

All my other kites & boards have taken a backseat this summer, just can't get off the Edge.

Anyone want to buy an as new 17m, two well used 12's or sell a 7m Edge ?

my 7 edge will be up for sale at the end of the season, its a very different kite in its delivery than the next size up, when the winds cranking its a ripper, when its in and out of it lower end its a dog, an 8 if they made it would be what id buy, demo one 1st

ANYWAY,

Ahhhhhh.....

As previously stated who cares its all moot.....

I regret selling my 11 edge. I'm tempted to by one again. But i know the 13 is better for my conditions for when i want to be on the edge,,,,,,,,,,,

My Sweeeet spot set up is: 90 kg depending on how many pies I have.

17 Mtr 2012 Ozone Zephyr, 9 - 20knts
10 Mtr 2010 North Rebel, 15 - 25knts
7 Mtr 2012 North Rebel, 25+knts

Underground Kipuna 5ft 10in Strapped: Usually up to 25knts
North Jamie 2011, 136 x 41: Any Wind usually above 20 Knots

I am looking for a Light wind surfboard as I have gotten rid of my 2 Firewires Brother has taken one and the other I have sold.
Maybe looking at a North Nugget or the Slingshot Space Pickle. Man the Slingshot boards are very cheap at the moment.

Eppo I thought you sold your Zephyr and why are you getting a North Dyno, going from Ozones to Norths. I do like the Dyno I have tried a 2012 and it had loads of power fun but a bit hairy above 15knts. Zephyr I feel is better over 15knts and actually is really fun at 20knts.

Nah couldn't do it happy, sell the zephyr that is. Funny after I decided to not sell it (after several wake the Fck up emails from crew on here..lol) I had 4 unbelievable sessions on it in a row straight after

The older dyno is just a little punt into airstyle, a little dabble if ya like. From all reports the 2011 is the best of the lot for these kind of thing. 2012 went a bit too racey and lost its static grunt, the 2013 has brought it back a touch...but North for gods sake put a damn one pump on it. If the wing is good enough a little weight on the one pump shouldn't make any difference. I don't buy the non one pump bullsh1t.

Look happy with all the kites I've tried I can without any shadow of a doubt, recognise they all have their advantages and disadvantages depending on the rider at the helm.

I don't subscribe to any brand or kite type, I just know what suites at a particular point in time for me and make comment.

Everyone else has to make their own minds up in the end. That's why I like everyone's input and I don't get upset and my knickers in knot about pimping and all that crap.

If ya too dumb to read between the lines you deserve what you get. You'll learn eventually. All input is another piece in the puzzle.

....on the zephyr though, I desperately want to get my son a uno or some kind of trainer kite, even a 4-5m suitable kite plus a small board which would double as an airstyle board to hold down kites in the wind necessary, so something has to go as my wife keeps spending thousands on bloody renovations..it's like that they think it is for you as well, but all they are doing is feathering their own nests for the chicklings...I don't give a rats what the house looks like...anyway, something has to go and it might be the zephyr, but it's so damn good!!

Ps I feel Plummett might have another head Fck attack looking at your sweet spot ranges....bahahahahahahahaha

I am impressed. I wonder how low the knots have to be before the Zephyr falls out of the sky? 5knots? But I've heard some people struggle to even fly her in 12knots. WT?

Under 10 knots it will hang but it takes some line extensions and a light wind board to use it.

I have had heaps of glassy days and been out with the Zephyr on a firewire strapless. Takes time to get used to it.

The most fun I have had of late is using my 10 metre with my SUP board. Its cool to have the kids or misses come for a cruise.

Its funny when the wind picks up they start to squeal and say slow down. My 10 Mtr Rebel will stay up in hardly in wind as long as you have a really floaty board its a fun day.

As Eppo said 12 knots no problem thats what it is designed for.

Eppo I have a Fanatic All Wave 9ft 6In. Its plenty wide and heaps of volume. I actually started with them Suping in flat water.

One day they were playing on the board with the misses in the shallows while I was kiting. I jumped from my kite board onto the SUP without them even realising we off and kiting. My Wife just lay down on the back dragging her legs and the kids sat on the front.

After a few tacks and everyone laughing my daughter who is 5 said can I go with you. So I out her life preserver on and we went for a cruise. Only problem was that I had the zephyr up and we got going a little too quickly. I put the Kite closer to 12 and slowed the whole experience down she was much happier.

I had used the board once before with the kite when the wind went dead one day at my local spot. I can see the fun with it with the family but it can get boring by yourself IMO.

I have rescued I couple of people teaching each other one day on it. They had got dragged into deeper water and his partner was cracking it. My wife noticed it first and told me to go out there. I jumped on the SUP and got out to them. He had no idea how to teach someone as she was panicking. I Told them to pull the safety and I body dragged over and grabbed the kite. They paddled back in on my SUP while I took the kite to the beach which was not far away.

SUP is great fun but keeping the kite up in light winds is the hard thing. Once you are moving you actually rocket along. Cool times.
