Hi Baz .....i have one of these boards, i weigh in around the same as you, I have had underground and nobile boards in the past, and still have an Nobile 555 145 for my light wind board.

I love the Haura it suits my style of riding and it is such a sweet board to ride. The footpads are the most comfy and non slip I have used and the no tool system is a winner especially if you travel abit and need to break your board down for transport. Nice flex, it just glides through the chop with no splashing in the face. It has excellent pop, super light weight and looks cool. Not as bitety as the nobile and therefore not quite so easy to ride up wind. But for an experienced rider it rides as well up wind as any board. This is a very cruzy board. Not for sliders ramps etc. but for free riding its perfect. I would suggest (at your weight) if you are really interested go for the new 137x40.5 size, (you may only need the one board) , i have the 135x38 and need 17+ knots to really start enjoying the board. I will buy a 137x40.5 Haura to replace my nobile 145 this summer.

Hi Baz,

The Haura XXL is just been released lately and none of them are in Australiay yet. First shipment is expected within the next 2 weeks.
We have been testeing the TB Haura extensively but, and are excitingly impressed with its performance as a 1st. quality allround board.

The Haura and the Haura XXL offer an original concept: the half directional twintip, for extreme versatility.
It has a set of inserts allowing 3 different positions: twintip, goofy and regular. The back feet can be offset to the tail, and its angle can be changed to 0° for wave riding.
The fins can be used in 3+1 option: 3 fins on the back and one in the front.
This boards come in 2 sizes:
Haura 135*38.5 and
Haura XXL 137*40
Planning and carving are excellent! It has a relatively long water line so they carve very smoothly and seem to cut through chop like butter but due to slightly rounded, asymetric rails and good flex it will carve as hard as your legs can take with out being twitchy.
The combo ofthe asymetric rails and the right amount of flex decreases the spray in your face in chopy conditions aditionaly.
TB Kiteboarding take pride in there products and it shows in every detail.

The XXL with your 14 should get you going in fairly light stuff and still suit you through to the strong stuff. I have used them in the surf and they are awesome as far as twin tips go, in fact the best i've ridden in any conditions, but i could be byist, (that word looks wrong, i am sure someone will correct me ;o)

Both are perfect for wave riding, cruising and light winds.
If you're around Brissie or see us anywhere else along the coast, ask us for a test ride, you will love it!
feel free to contact me for more info.

windy summer!
