I am looking to buy a small kite for the high wind days (24+ knots) that is good at 'trying' huge jumps. I am approx. 68kg and have narrowed my choice down to a 5m Core GT or 6-7m Core XR or 7m F-one Bandit 3. If anyone has flown these kites or has any advice on this matter I would really appreciate their input.
Both kites go Big. If you are looking at a delta kites these two are good, bandit probaly is a bit better quality but definatly cant compete with the core in price.
Hi Graf,
The Core kites have been just amazing in regards to durability and performance. If you know Neil Taylor, ask him how many he has had to repair in the last 2 years. His words were "Very few".
The 7m Core GT is still the kite that has thrown me up higher than anything else I have ever ridden..... scary high! ![]()
The XR's are also heaps of fun and jump almost as big but are smoother to ride.
We have demo's available.
Cheers,
KH
Wisha, Thanks for the advice. I agree totally, my 7m GT jumps HUGE but I find with my weight (67kg) it is a little too powerful for the real windy days. I think your right about giving the 5m GT a go as my strong wind kite. Thanks.
Just edge better. Lenten goes out on a 9m in 35 kts plus and he weighs under 80 kg. If you want to go big get used to riding over powered.
^^ agreed. 67k on a 7m is fine, just gota learn how to hold a solid edge...
not sure about 5m gt but in general kites smaller than 7s dont have much float and kinda drop u after going big..
^^^^ agree as well....... you can end up going to small... you will still get massive air but the dropping stone feeling is not nice and you really have to work the kite on the way down to prevent it.
