136x44
11 years riding, surf board and tt
have had 10 other tt boards.
tested in these conditions and others 8 in total.

16 to 26 knots 12 meters kite /RIVER
20 to 25 knots 9 meter kite/ Ocean
30 knots 9 meter kite / Ocean
20 to 25 12 meter kite / Ocean
20 to 25 7.5 meter kite / Ocean

All the thing mentioned before on this board are pretty spot on. The one thing is the no spray in the face is great and it is really soft on the knees. Does boost well but i think some of the crew could boost a fridge door in 30 knots with the right foot straps.
Foot straps are the best and most comfy of all the boards i have ridden.

Great speed but you can really slow it down to a snails pace and and keep the plane if you require a breather or waiting for a small wave and then it really will fire away, didn't like going to switch at first kept digging in the rail [ user issue not the Board] as i was not used to the rocker

Spoke to Mark Shinn about the size and we discussed weight [100kg] kite size and how i like to ride so this is why i chose this size.

All in all good ride and seems to suit my riding.
If you what a new ride try one as i will not be selling this one.

Yes the size is great as at one stage on Sunday at Cervantes it was down to about 16 to 18 knot for a 5 minute window and the board still plained on a 7.5 meter kite, this spun me out a bit as i am a fat bastard.

I got the 2013 134.42 at 90kg, love it. Coming from my last board its such a difference, you can actually have a relaxing kite in the waves if you want to. Pick your way through the sets almost like you've got an inbuilt throttle. Foot pads are a ton better than 2012, don't seem to bite into your foot the same way. Has a great bottom end, first time I tried it was on my 9 in 16-19kt and it was planning no probs.

after 15 days straight kiting on a tt one of my knees would be sore but i have found with this board the way it absorbs the shock i do not have the pain.
Would not bag any of the gear i have ridden before as at the time it was great this board is just great for me.
Ordered the 134 x 42 to see the difference just in case to give it a go and see if i get the same feeling.

In other news cauncy has been outed as Mark Shinn's secret identity.

Tried a black n white Monk 2012 (er.. think it was the 135 x 42) recently in metro downwinder mode. Was a very nice board and ride was differant to most, but mostly good.

I tried it with 42mm wake style fins and def wish I'd tried bigger surf (more forward and scooped) style fins though.

Def recomend tryin this board, although I really couldn't recomend the Shinn straps. Sorry, they were diabolical for me and I had the plastic side plates digging in big time. No angle/splay options either. Weird.

Don't be put off though, board is well above average.
