Can anyone help me with a pdf of the 2008 Rebel manual and/or help me with removing the bladder and repair?
Its pretty easy.
Leading edge bladder, get some string or twine & tie to both bladder ends, remove bladder & tie off twine.
After repair made, coat bladder in talcum powder - lots, reattach twine and pull bladder though. Inflate carefully - any twists need to take bladder out & try again.
For reinserting the bladder, helps is you have a friend to keep the Leading Edge flat & stable.
Hi amclean,
A rebel strut is easily removed. Remove the little stick in the end of the trailing edge of the strut and pull the bladder out.
Remove the tail of the bladder enough to ties a kite line around it, then open the velcro and zipper at the leading edge end of the strut and remove the locking ring from the one pump connector. Push the valve through the hole as it sits behind a little flare that holds it in position, then pull the strut bladder out through the zippered hole.
Leading edge is easy, remove all one pump connectors and push all valves inside the LE. un pack the ends and tie kite lines around the exposed bladder tips, then pull the bladder out the zippered section in the centre of the inside of the LE.
Here's a link to how to re-insert it. www.kiteboardingschool.com.au/index.php/beginner-newbie-tips/tip-21-fixing-a-leak-in-a-bladder.html
Talcum powder is unnecessary with good technique. I never use Talc, just gets messy!
Cheers
