Roberto Ricci Designs (RRD) has been around way before kites were "invented" into the mainstream market and Roberto actually worked along side Bruno Legaignoux (the God father of kite surfing - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitesurfing), to help bring kite surfing design to where it is today.
Here are is a great read on some history of this great company and Roberto's incredible desire to try anything, anytime, and in any conditions. That's motivation!

note: This is not meant to be a deliberate plug for RRD. I thought I would share this company's story with you, as it highlights the pioneering efforts and struggles guys went through back in the 70s and 80s to bring us this fantastic sport. I hope you appreciate the talent behind RRD. Do we have a distributor here? Just asking.
Actually the bar is very neat, comfortable, fantastic lines (made in France) but the global thing bar/lines/kite is not finalized properly. At least on the obsession MKVI. Safety is not good.

i should have been clearer . I meant his **** safety system
hey I found one of those early RRD boards nearly identical to the one the lass is posing with in the kite boarder article at the tip! In good Nic too. Twinny weapon! Will review.
good share.
agree the bars are great. Cord lines , plastic depower , solid as! lines are long though .

What bar and year are you referring to? Any older than 2012 bars are ****ty yes I agree, but the new ones are pretty good IMO. And if we could have some evidence or proper feedback, that eould be appreciated instead of shooting off your nips without any supporting evidence.
If you would like a bit of your own RRD history on the wall we have this. One of the early design race boards - before kiters were even into racing???

I flew obsessions from 2009-2012 . global bar v3/v4and v5 never again . flag to both front lines never fully depowered . I just didn't like the safety system . Had some hairy moments . Went ozone and never looked back . At least when you punch out you are safe .

Fair enough, but that is just oersonal opinion. Lots of guys out there doing it with the same global bars and no one's complained yet, her at least.

It's about the Obsession MKVI (2014) and the V6 bar.
Many people fly their kites and never try their release system , at least where I ride.
Now drop the kite, LE down in the water and then release the chicken loop. The kite remains in position and keep pulling. This is not a question of opinion. RRD rounded the shape of their new obsession but did not adapted the safety to the new shape. Did they just forgot to check??
However I still love my Religions.
