Any Naish Park owners tell me if there were really any major changes to the 2012 model from 2011?

Looking to get a 9 & 12 and seen some new 2011 kites in this size at good prices.

There have been a lot of changes from 2011 to 2012 however both are excellent kites and i have a few local riders who still prefer the 011 model as its a bit more forgiving and has a better top end ,so you wouldn't go wrong with either model,012 has way more on the low end but gets way punchier when the wind gets up.

Hi,The 2012 Nash Park has a much better bar that comes with a swivel to untangle the front lines it also has a better depower set up.

The kite at first I was a bit disappointed with but after playing with the settings the kite is now much better.
Compared to last year the new kite has 3 settings for grunt I have found the kite works well for me on the most grunt setting with bar pressure set in the middle .I now have a kite that has a better top end with bar pressure that feels right.

Thanks for the replies.

I only ask coz I've seen a cpl on eBay from a guy in the UK who's selling a 2011 9m and 12m. As we're heading home in the next cpl of months, I'm toying with the idea of getting both for kiting back home in the UK. I could effectively (almost), get the two kites for the price I'd pay for one 2012 kite (if I play my bidding cards carfully LOL).

The 9m has a Buy it Now price of $725 AUD equivalent.

The 12m currently has one bid @ $518.

Both are unused, boxed....

Hmmmm.........

Yes, I would take the Waterboys advice over mine. He has been kiting since the last rain shower after all.

I believe so. Given that these kites I'm looking at are kite only, I;d be buying a 2012 bar anyway, thus would benefit from the new improvements made there.

Maybe they improved the kites bottom end performance. I'm probably doing something very wrong but my 2011 10m Park doesn't like light conditions...

Great in good wind though.

2012 is quite different. Briskites is on the money, if you. Buy off eBay it's cheap but no warranty and no demo so it's your gamble. Sometimes kites are faulty out of the factory. The 2012 also turn slower. 2011 bottom end is ok if you keep it in the power. Beginners do struggle in light winds. I find it ok. 2012 needs less input.

Yeah, decided to leave the ebay Parks anyway now. I'll wait 'til I'm back in UK and probably go the 2012 route....

Can't remember- when do the new kites generally get released? Not looking at getting newest, but if it knocks the price of 2012 gear down slightly, all the better....
