Hi,
This is my first post on this forum but I have been following it for a while now. Mainly the talk about new Ozone kites. I don???t even live in Australia but it seems that Ozone is a very popular brand there and I have realized that there is a lot of knowledge contained in the seabreeze forum.
The reason I am posting is that I have just bought an Ozone C4 2012 10m and have the option of changing it to an 8m instead. Today I have a quiver of a 12m Blade Trigger 2010, 10m Ozone Catalyst 2010 and an 8m Light XC. I want to keep the 12m and replace the two other and my initial thought was to get the 8m C4 but the guy in the kite shop said it would probably be too big of a gap between them and that the power of the C4 is similar to a 1m smaller flat kite.
What would you say the wind range is for the 8m and 10m C4 2012 for a 75kg guy like me?
Will the 10m C4 have less power than my 10m Catalyst?
I know I should try for myself and see but its snowing outside here in Sweden so it has to wait for some months.
Cheers, Gustav.
Can you swap for 9m rather than 8M? If not 10m will be fine as C4 is little less power for size compared to many it seems which would give you 2-3 m gap in reality depending on Trigger's power in 12m size. I'm a fan of as many kites as possible as the riding in the sweet spot of any kite is always more fun. So 9 or stick with 10 and pick up a second hand 7m for properly windy days is my suggestion
