Thumbs Up

Howsit guys

Im an AMATEUR boarder but these are some things i noticed about these boards
iv ridden them both in all sorts of wind
im 81kg
all iv done is some freeriding and jumps on DAMS where the water is quite choppy
I have a cabrinha crossbow 09 11m

A while ago i was looking for peoples opinions on these two boards, before i bought my first board and it seemed noone had really ridden both boards and believed the board they owned was the better of the two. It was also not so easy getting info on either board.

So basically i bought a crazy fly raptor pro 137x41 after alot of research. My father got into kiteboarding a while later so i decided to get the jaime pro 132x40 so we have two different sized boards between us that we can swop etc

build quality: They are both amazing i must be honest... They are made very differently if you read up about it but in the end they are both made exceptionally well
The crazy fly weighs in slightly lighter than the north even though its a bigger board...You can see they went through alot of effort to make the board as light as possible.
The handle on the crazy fly is K@K it really isnt nice, the one on the north is really comfortable
I am a size 11 shoe and i had to cut away the toe lock on the crazy fly pads so my front pad doesnt sit on the toe lock and i had to turn the pads out as far as possible so my heal does not sit on the heal lock but rather infront/next to it...they are actually very comfortable now. smaller feet would not have this problem. my feet fit fine on the north
The north pads are quite hard so i put in the softest pads and it feels good now. the board used to fall off my feet during jumps...i sanded down the pads lightly with sand paper and they lekker sticky now
the straps on the north are softer than the crazy fly but both are very comfortable after a couple of hours on the water the crazy fly might start becoming uncomfortable

on the water: the crazy fly is alot bigger than the north with wider tips when the wind comes up i dont get too overpowered on the crazy fly though, you do have to start pushing alot of water though...i use mine mostly now when the wind is lighter because its so much bigger than the north.
When the wind dies off you can feel the north wants to start sinking and takes more power to get going. With the crazy fly im able to kite sometimes when ppl with the same kite but a bigger size are standing waiting for a gust to get going
The crazy fly feels slightly stiffer than the north but both are very comfortable to ride...the north maybe being a slightly softer ride...i have never had knee pain with either...but then again iv never had knee pain
The north goes upwind exceptionally well...i have no idea why, im not sure if its because i put the stance slightly wider on the north or what but i always thought a longer board would go upwind better...maybe its because i ride the north mostly in stronger winds...i have to watch that i dont go too far upwind on the north...im almost on a different course to other ppl when i really star cutting
the crazy fly goes upwind well but i normally have to cut hard to go upwind properly
the north also feels slightly looser on the water...whereas the crazy fly seems to really stick quite nicely through turns etc it sorta feels like the crazy fly has bigger fins...might be the wider tips?

so yeah its much of a muchness...I like both boards and am happy i have both of them.
