Hi all,

What boards out there are similar to a North X-ride.

I took an X-ride for a spin a while ago & loved it. It felt so smooth through the chop & had so much grip for loading up for jumps.
(This is not a review - I'd describe myself as beginner/intermediate & don't really feel qualified to review - but I did really REALLY like the X-ride)

Are the 2008 & 2009 basically the same?

I can't really afford $1k for a board at the moment so I'm looking at other options or 2nd hand.

What about the Naish Sol?
An others?

Many thanks,

Nobile

Hey,
I would suggest you get up to Kitestock this weekend and win a Nobile T5...
Cheers,

Hey General,

The main difference between the 08 and 09 is the core. North Boards have gone to a wood core this year. Also the 09 footpads are much nicer.

Trust me if I could get up to kitestock I would.

If I could win a new board I'd do that as well!!!!

I rode one of these the other day also, (141) and was very pleasantly surprised, they do ride similar to Nobile 555, my 07 145x41 555 behaves almost the same. I prefer my TB board over the Nobile but I would buy a x ride over another Nobile for my light wind board. your comment about loading up easily for boosting is right on the money and they do soak up the bumps. Also was quite dry. If you really liked the board then save up a bit longer and get one, you won't find anything the same and its rare to find Nobile for sale, it will be worth the wait to get something you really like.
