Has anyone made a purchase or sampled any of the 08 North range? I have been trawling net for reviews to no avail!Especially interested in the Jaime Pro 08.
Cheers
Well I got to take the Jaime Pro out to Woodies today and was very impressed - full review coming soon..
The main differences between the 2007 and 2008 Jaime pro are that he has taken the hard core outline off the heel side edge, making the board have that great smooth/controllable ride on both edges. This boards is going to be super popular to all riders from beginner to advanced that don't need that knee bashing, full on ride of a hard core TT. It also is very sweet in chop, smooth and easy to control at any speed.
I know you will enjoy this board.

Has any one had a go on the 08 X-Ride. Looking at getting the 141x40 and wondered if any one (JB) has given it a go and can comment on it. Was thinking I'd get a pair a 4cm fins to go with it as well as the carving fins but would have to ride it to figure out if it's worth it.
Was thinking maybe the 135 but at 6'5" and 103kg and I don't mind the bigger boards.
Hey Bolgo I asked on Kite Forum cause I was wondering as well, this is tne answers I got.

The Evo will come out together with the R8 in February/March 2008. It will be a hybrid C-kite with full depower and the 5th line set-up. It will fill up the gap the Toro left open when this kite was discontinued in 2007, which the Rebel07 could not fill in for the absolute beginner being a too technical and fast kite.
The performance of the kite will be moderate, less than the Rebel08, Vegas08 and the R8. Only relaunch will be better as the Rebel08 and R8, according to the info from North...
Let's see in February how it will perform. Based on how North is going to put this kite in the market I will not wait for it as a replacement for my Rebel07
