Tried the 2009 T5 134x41 yesterday. Nice board really nice !!
How is that compared to the 2010 NHP 134x42?

Rocker, pop, flex, chop handling, upwind ability (!!) etc. ?

Weight 90 kg. UH amateur freestyle in often choppy conditions (raley, R2B, s-bend, kiteloops).

Steen,
The Nobile T5 is a great board as you mentioned. The NHP 2010 is quite different in feel than that of the T5. The NHP 2010 feels so much looser than the T5 and will be more forgiving to the higher level rider. The skatey feel of the NHP 2010 might feel a tad loose to an intermediate rider.
I can pretty much guarantee that you will be blown away on the 2010 NHP. This board really has it all. Solid upwind, plenty of rocker which makes it very forgiving in less than ideal conditions, edges very well which allows for loading up the board with ease, handles a wide wind range.
If you like the size 134*41 on the T5 then check out the 134*42 on the 2010 NHP.

I talked to a guy who have the T5. He said he didn't like the NHP as it was to wakestyle. Didn't really get it, but maybe he mean the "skatey" feel??

Hi Steen,
It is very possible that the Nobile T5 rider you knew didnt go for the NHP 2010. Remember the T5 is a very predictable board and easy to use which is why almost all levels of riders can really appreciate the wide range of performance which is offered by this board. Sometimes it takes several goes on a new board to really get a good understanding/feel of the board. It is possible that the guy really didnt give the new board enough usage. There is an option for a very wide stance which makes you feel like your are on a wakeboard and it is possible that he used it on that stance. Really there could be many reasons why rider A did not go for the 2010 NHP. ie riding conditions werent suitable, board setup was not set to his liking (ie fin size, stance width, strap adjustment to loose/tight) , his riding level or riding style wasnt compatible for the NHP, board was too loose/skatey, rode the wrong size board.... etc etc
I still feel personally that the rider looking for a board which goes beyond the T5 the NHP 2010 is it. Yes the NHP 2010 will feel skatey when flattened off but apply some edge and it grips/tracts effortlessly. It would be good to find out how long your mate used the NHP, board settings, conditions, boards size, wind range and what specifically didnt work on the board. He did mention it was too wakestyle... but getting a bit more feedback might be useful to assist in your decision making. .

The T5's ride like they are on rails as mentioned... Great board.
But if you go from a t5 to a NHP it will help if you start with the 55mm fins on the NHP as the 35's Really loosen it up and affect the ride upwind compared to the 55s.

I still swap my fins back to 55's every now n then if it's light or the tides running against me.
I have found it hard work trying to ride the NHP with my Zephyr in the light stuff with small fins.
Totally different story with the 55's.

I use the 55mm ( probably down to 42mm now ) fins off my old Nobile Shinn on my NHP and love the locked in feel, especially the confidence they bring when landing super fast and flat downwind....... Im not sure what this skatey feeling everyone likes is good for. If i want to spin my board I pop to do so.
