You are looking at a kite impacting the ground at very high speed in super slow motion, which does give it the appearance of being underinflated, however, take note of how quickly the kite springs back into shape. That says to me it is properly inflated.
Personally I would have tethered the chicken loop to something completely solid and just used a person to steer the kite straight into the deck, that would have given the maximum impact speed and force possible.
The fact that a person was used means that at the point of maximum acceleration and pull, the kiter is being dragged towards the kite, and thereby reducing the impact force quite a bit.

I would like to know how many times they actually did crash it? I think a good test would be to take it out to the back line and drop it in the waves and see how many times they can do that, maybe with no lines to make it a bit fair.....

I know this is a marketing stunt. trying to say there kites are so durable they don't break. but that is a crock of shiit. all this tells me is that they didn't test long enough. If your going to test to destruction. Test to destruction! otherwise its just test until we get tired.

ps the real test for wear is drag it along the beach test. do that for hours to find the week points. I reacon more kites will ulitmately fail due to drag launch wear than impacts into the ground.

This is a good video to keep for later reference.

Pete Cabrinha says that their kites do not break when being crashed into the beach and has provided video evidence of the claim.

Under Australian consumer law you are entitled to a refund if the product does not do what they say it does. So, if your kite goes boom ...
