Rider: 100kg medium to advanced maybe
Style: Freeriding, Surf, Waves
Weather: 20-25 knots
Build Quality: 8/10
Satisfaction: 8/10

My Comments:
Instantly liked the kite sitting very forward in the wind window and ability to truck upwind even at the bottom of wind range I will be using it for. It is one of the fastest kite I have ridden in 10 yrs, extremly quick and pivitol turning puts you where you want to be quickly. The bar &five line setup is simple, efficient & safe and provides firm support for the kite, no backstalling noticed. I plan to use it from 25-35kn as my high end kite can't wait

Hey MM,
Surprise someone commented on the kite. check is in the mail

I was surprised the kite was working for you in the light wind. It does produce plenty of apparent wind.
As mentioned on the beach that kite was tailored for riding barreling waves in 25-35knots. The greatest conditions you get! I found my Wipika matrix 7m- 5 strut kite the right size, but just a touch too powerful and too heavy.
So knocked up the 7m OS, 3 struts with slightly more dynamic profiles and wider wing tips for better drift. Proves to be a winner to sit in the pocket and have full spontaneous control.

Had forgotten how fast turning the 7m OS kite is. I have been spending alot of time riding the 8m ALIBI (freeride kite) and there really is a huge difference between the 2.
I thought the 8m ALIBI was sick for waves but after going for a spin on my trusty old 7m OS it is definitely far superior in the waves. Now I can see how Steve won the 2010 Kitestock Wave Masters on the 9m OS.

Also rode NEW8m Alibi .Same conditions as previous post
Five lines with a stable responsive capopy .
Forward sitting in the window again and trucks up wind
Boosting not a problem with easy hangtime
Relaunch easy and quick

The ALIBI does launch off the water alot easier than the small 3 strut OS kites.
Its generally not a problem launching the OS - 7m and 5m cause those conditions are generally windy. The kite just bounces off the water.

The 6 Strut ALIBI seems to hold better shape around the tips and tends to be more capable reverse launches. Whats it called, Exact Strut Positioning. ESP technology... I still prefer the 8m ALIBI for all round riding when the wind is averaging less than 32.273 knots

Man I cant get over how much fun I had riding that 7m OS the other day. Amazing control in the waves. You can park it anywhere or make speed real quick. This kite rips around so fast it produces static electricity. Thinking about fitting LED lights to my bar next year.
