My Comments:
Has anybody flown two or more of these kites ? How do they compare, especially low end, turning speed, kiteloops, unhooked ?
Thanks
hey Pemba
Im around the same weight as you and i have 8m & 12m Rpm
i get going in around 15-16 knots and then when it gets up to 20-30 ill use my 8m
there a solid kite hard to damage, light bar pressure where the switchblade has a huge amount of pressure, i find that the switchblade had alot lot more low end power and not as good to unhook with. Im probably sitting on an 9/10 on the satisfaction side for the rpm and the switchblade a 7/10
hope that helps Jacob

Hi Jacob
Yes, thanks this helps. I actually quite l;ike the bar pressure on the SB but I think it is something you can easily get (un)used to. The RPM seems to have only good reviews but somehow all slingshot kites here (Mozambique) appear to suffer from the valves coming off/unglued. I can't really believe it myself, expect a lot of makes are actually built in the same factory etc but somehow slingshot seems to have a much bigger problem with this than other makes. Do you know anything of the Vapor X?
Thanks
i don't know that much about the vapor x, iv used one about 5 times, i did find its pretty sick for boosting, you can change the size of the bar (to change the speed in witch the kite turns) and there kinda like airushes c/hybrid. great for freestyle
Does anyone know why there is a problem with the valves in Tas. Is it something to do with difference in temperature. I havent seen a problem with them in Brisbane. A friend went out in a rush last week without the intake valve closed on a Rally and it was still rock solid when he came back in.
The problem with the valves coming off is quite common here. It happens to just about all kites - I've seen it happen on Slingshot (a lot), North, Naish, RRD, Best (rare) - but usually only after about one or two years, apparently irrespective of how much the kite has been used, so obviously it is something to do with age, but also maybe something with temperature since in Holland too it seems very rare. It is not a big problem if you know of it in advance. You can just glue the valve back on, about half an hours work. For some reason slingshot kites appear to suffer more of this problem (although I'm kind of expecting somebody to say that all bladders are made in the same factory or something like that)
All kites arnt made in the same factory,But the reason there coming off is that the valves are glued on with heat activated glue so if there not stored properly they can delaminate unluckily .and nearly all kites can have this problem but a few seem to do it more than others.
