Slingshot has agreed to license Liquid Force's latest binding patent and Liquid Force has agreed to license Slingshot's control bar patent.
Looks like some interesting times ahead, I nearly bought a LF kite last year but had a few resevations about the bar......perhaps they can merge the two systems and come up with the best of both systems.............
What's exactly the patent that gets you excited?
Have LF kites from 2008 and 2011 and bars are pretty good except both oldschool QR and new CPR are really bad, never actually needed them in emergency and fingers crossed. Had a few go on a mate's Slingshot kite and bar from 2010 and didn't notice anything special apart it's seriously heavy.
Great news for the bindings though!
Ok perhaps I need to explain.....the point I was making was not to put down any brand but to bring to light some exciting information that hopefully will lead to new innovations and when two companies share interlectual patents not only do they improve on already great products "perhaps merge the best parts of say the bars" it leads the way for the rest of the industry to step up to produce even better equipment to be competitive.
