Just thought id post a review of them after a couple of sessions riding the 12m...

Yesterday the wind was around 15 knots in the morning and came up to 25ish in the arvo during gusts so i went right through the kites wind range.

The kite flys very much like an m80, it turns very smoothly, if you dont try to turn it, it wont go anywhere which is great for HP's and learning stuff...

Got cought up a few times because of the pop it gives you, very impressed in that aspect, more pop than an m80 ever had!

Not sure if its meant to be a high-depower kite like the F-ones etc, but i know its got a lot! if you are on a little bit of depower and you let the bar out, the canopy will flutter a little and the power really drops off... I switched from 5th line safety to suicide after a while because of this...

Kiteloops are fun lol.... because of its turning it dives into this massively wide loop without you expecting it... but KL are more like spectrum 2's or a higher aspect kite...

Boosting is like an m80... decent enough as long as you are powered.... its not '3x backroll boardoff' stuff though.
Actually, lol it must of been me after looking at that video...

Relaunching is like any C kite...

Design and materials are really well done, LF has a new panel layout this year and they have fixed the struts and Leading edge etc, they have changed the pigtails to a better (thicker) spectra as well. Everything has been beefed up so there shouldnt be any problems like the 06 stuff...

Try and get a hold of one :-) Really decent kites

(oh, and i was riding with a 06 m80 bar so can't comment on the MIG bars untill they arrive soon)

ANY REVIEWS ON EM IN WAVES?
HOW DO THEY TURN UNHOOKED?
TIGHT LIKE THE SMALL M-80S?
ARE THEY FAST OR MORE A SLOW WAKE KITE?

I rode my surfboard around in the chop with it for an hour or so but no real wave riding... but it easlily slipped in and out of the window when you want it to...

Unhooked turning is the same as hooked really... It is definatly a sweep turn not a pivot like the small m80's...

Its more of a slow wake kite...

I tried the same 12. Felt like a fuel to me. Nice steady power.
The bar was only a 43cm m80 bar so not ideal for that size kite.
Looking forward to try it on the stock bar setup.

How about trying some of the gear and giving your opinion then James, instead of pushing rebels and fones and bagging cab gear?

I havent seen any 2007 Liquid Force breaks as yet touchwood, and that's nearly 5 months of riding non-stop. The Assault and Havoc are very well made, much improved on the 06 range. And to top it up, they are $600+ cheaper than most other kites in the market! The MIG bar has adjustable 5th line, adjustable front lines, and adjustable stopper ball. Beat that!
