Guys, I have been riding the T5 Nobile 134 for about 6 months now but find the straps to be loose after i get in the water, I mean way loose.

Im looking at the LF Luxury Straps, can anyone make some suggestions? Are these comfy and can they be tightened better than the Nobile Straps?

Also I have sent a few emails to the lads in Rockingham(Perth) as they were selling it for around $140, I haven't got a reply yet. So if anyone is selling these brand new at a more competitive price, so let me know, cheers.

Happy winds...

Dont buy anything till you try the new 2011 LF straps. It is the closest feel to bindings without having a boot. I was using them all week in Egypt where it blew 20-30kts everyday, and board did not come off once when I was riding. And yes, you can tighten them in a way no other straps in the market use. The new design is going to lead the market in straps once again, just like the Comp Lace.

I had some comp lace ups, found the footpads slippery and no toe hold (feet were always slippping out).
Have they changed the pads on this years model?

Hi Nick, never had anyone with slipping problems with the comp lace pads, they should have grooves on them? And yes, the pads have a new design this year, cant tell yet but the new design will ensure your feet dont slip out at all!

Yes they have.

Thanks for the info about the Underground Pads. I tried the Cabrinha Sync but found them to be very hard and for some reason the corner of the strap was digging into my foot, so i was not a big fan of them.

Guys please dont bother sending advertisement of your shops and so on. I specifically said Im looking for Foot Pads, if you have them then send pics or links. I received a couple of replies but seriously could not be F**ked browsing thru the pages just to find pads.

Cheers

PS Thanks to those who made an effort to send me what i was after

Hey Lovetokite

No one posted any links except me, so I guess you are talking to me?
You don't have to browse any pages, just click the link and there you are right on the page that shows the underground pad and its $59 for a set. Don't like syncs, fine, my bad for mentioning them. You actually said you were looking for straps, but both Underground straps and pads are on that single page I posted. I sell Nobile and I know they fit their pads, but they work better with the Underground matching pads.
I was just trying to help you with direct info on what you wanted, thanks.

Hey KPA don't get upset dude, for your info you were not the only person to send me links. I received 2 other private emails which lead to links of shops and tonnes of kitegear. Yours on the otherhand was more direct and straight forward, so big ups for that and many thanks.
Thanks for your recommendation, it's not that i dont like lace ups, i tried the Cabrihna and was not impressed with it. I tried the LF which was very soft compared to the Cabs.
Anyway hope you didnt take it to heart,as I was not intending to offend anyone. It was just I wanted to get to the point without having to browse thru an array of shopping list.
So thank you once again for sending me the link to KPA, where i have bought things before from you in Sydney.
Cheers

Hey love to kite, i saw the new syncs the other day they look and feel a whole lot more comfortable than last years. i tried both lf comps and syncs last year trying to find a good pad i found the syncs hold better but needed a more comfortable strap and needed beefing up (adding extra screws to hold strap to mounting block). looks like they might have got it right this year, maybe just wait till the new gear is released until you make your mind up.

Nah not upset at all, notice the funny face things.
The Underground straps are great value for $59 and will get you what you want, some decents straps that won't break the bank and don't slip and get bigger like the Nobile ones do.
I know a local guy put araldite on the Nobile webbing after he got the size/adjustment right, and he still uses them as far as I know.

KPA, so you reckon I only need to buy the strap only and not the full combo? I guess you know if it fits the Nobile Foot bed or not?

I'll check for you when I get to work to make 100% sure.
They will fit, no worries, but you will need to use longer screws. If you order the straps from us we will make sure they include screws that will fit. (approx 15mm long metric thread 6mm screws)

Cheers SC, since you have so many I shall take a look. Anyway guys thanks for all you input and Im sure i will have a decent set of straps soon, well at least once that dont come lose.

SC, mate of mine I mentioned earlier uses the Cab Sinc and says the laces start to loosen up during tricks and so on. Any such probs with the LF Comp? I tried the Cab Sinc and I also notice after loading the board for a trick or 2, they start to ease their grip and i don't mean a little either. I had to stop and pull them tight and re-adjust the laces a few times(annoying) in deep water.

the trick with the syncs is you have to knot the laces then they cant come loose. its a **** but once you have it set you wont need to adjust. The comp straps are good and you can make the lock bite in to the lace so it wont come loose but i found the pad slippery so my feet still came out. you can have the comps for a pineapple if you want, they were used for around two months.

Hi LTK: not known problem on LF regarding lace loosening. Since others followed our design, a new one has been introduced this year. You should have perfect fit on the new one as you can adjust the width as well as the size of them. The gripping on the Comp Lace is good.

Nick T: Are you using the Comp Lace pads that came with the straps? These pads are tops for comfort and grip. I have not known of one case where someone slips off them in normal riding conditions. The new pads again are different with new system. Other than a new feature for keeping your feet in while doing tricks, you can also adjust the engle of the pads on the board. Think of bindings and you have the features on the pads. Julien Fillion (LF Designer) has put in hundreds of hours to put this design together. It is the best straps and pads in the market I have seen to date.

I swapped over to the LF Comp Lace's after destroying a couple of pairs of the original Cab Sync's. The LF Comp Lace pads are brilliant in terms of comfort but the lack of serious texture on the pads means that i do occasionally slip a foot out. It's a compromise i'm willing to live with as the durability of the Comp Lace's is in a different league to the Sync's.

I'll also say that the LF Comp Lace's have two different stages of being locked in; there's the normal everday riding with the strap with a bit of pressure, then there's the locked-in-so-fn-tight-your-never-getting-it-off tight which usually happens when you land a trick/jump a little hard and your feet are pushed forward whilst compressing the pad. It's a problem i haven't had with other harder pads, so again... i'll live with it.

If only there was a way to combine the comfort and durability of the LF Comp Lace's with the hold of the Sync straps. Ah, i'm dreaming.

I am happy to send you a set of the 2011 straps & pads when they arrive to test, free of charge. Either return them after or buy them. I'll even give you money for your comp pads as part-exchange if you want to keep the new ones. They are that good I do not believe anyone who has tried them will wanna give them back PM me your details.

the thing with ur feet slipping out of those is when you have them pulled too tight so your foot doesnt go in properly just incase you were wondering...

and if u take the strap off you can adjust the position of the bolt which inturn adjusts the curve and length of the straps.

just put them on when loose then pull them nice and tight, push the clip down afterwards to lock the line.

this goes for most lace straps.
