Just saw this today for the first time. LF are adding a 5'3" fish to their board quiver. It looks like it comes without straps. Has anyone tried one???
Yes, it is a very very very very fun board, crossed between a skim and a surf board. Lots of buoyancy, easy and fun to ride, slides and spins easy, adn gets going very easy. This board was in high demand when we were in Egypt testing all the gear, everyone wanted to play with it, and everyone comes in with a big smiley face each time
It's small enough to put in the boot of your car, and gets you going a lot earlier than most other boards. A must try fun board!
Anyone else tried the LF Fish? Can it really be ridden backwards (chicken jibe) has anyone tried this? What are the dimensions of the 5'3"? How effective is it for light winds compared with a cabrinha plasma or 09 Airush Choptop? Any photos or video around of someone riding it?
No pics but managed to find the board specs off web, should be as follows:
Length: 5'3"
Width: 20.3"
Thickness: 1.5"
Fins: 2 x 2" side, 1 x 1.5" center
Tail: Swallowtail
Straps: 2 incuded
Deck and tail pads: included
Shaper: J. Redmon
I have ridden the LF Venture Fish which is the same board except without the strap inserts.
It was the first time I had tried to ride strapless and the board made it all too easy. I had previously only ridden twin tips and can't surf. I was also trying out my new Wainman Boss 12m for the first time.
I weigh 89kg and was carving upwind in 15-17kts. When it was gusting to 20kts I had to ride with half de-power and was really moving.
I can't give any technical details but I can say I had a lot of fun. I also paid $300USD which is a bargain.
