Hi all,
I know this is a long shot but if anyone out there is still familiar with their liquid force havoc 2007 can you please tell me where to put the leash?
There is an "oh ****" handle on one of the front lines which I have been using but it gets twisted up with the bar in no time and soon you can't move the bar at all. There is no ring or loop behind the chicken loop or anywhere on the harness side of the bar as far as I can tell.
Cheers,
Toma
if you don't want it to be able to flag out completely you probably want to connect your leash to the black plastic at the end of the depower rope if my memory serves me correctly. be a good idea to know how the kite responds when you rely on this connection method. (its less safe than flagging to a single centre line and often not recommended for beginners) If you are a beginner then you need advice from an instructor. Also, there could be a pdf instruction manual on the net somewhere for you to check.
Also, your post might be better suited to the beginner/ advice thread or general thread if need be, 'cause its not a gear review.
Hope that helps.
There are 4 places you can hook your safety mate -
1 & 2: on the bottom metal ring on either side lines above the bar. This will allow you to clip the other end of your safety leash on the back of your harness. But the kite may spin around a few more times than attachment point 3.
3: Bottom metal loop on centre line above pulley top of bar. This is a higher point so you have to hook your safety to the front of your harness somewhere.
All the above will give you 100% depower if required.
4: At the end between the two noobs on the depower rope. Note this only gives you 90% depower and is for advance riders only. Advantage: when unhooking or when you pull the safety, the bar wont ride all the way up and allows rider to simply pull the depower rope, rehook and continue kiting.
If you need further advice or clarification feel free to give me a call anytime.
Practice engaging the safety on land to get used to the system before heading out. Always be prepared for all situations.
