Really like the 2011 Cabrinha Caliber for its ability to turn and burn in on-shore waves and swell. Great carving heal side and toeside, not a lot of boards I have used can carve toeside real well. The board has the right amount of flex for riding in chop and landing softly.
Some boards that carve real well, don't go up wind so good, maybe rocker.... but the Caliber still goes up wind OK.
Problem is the board is HEAVY.
Any recommendations for this type of riding, where the board is lighter?

nobile nhp or 50fifty - plenty of rocker and grip for carving hard but still go upwind well and are light and strong.
north team series -light and powerful.caliber is not that heavy by the way im prettysure the nobilr boards are as heavy or heavier than caliber.
^^^ I demoed the team a couple years back and unless it's changed a lot it won't have the rocker that uride2 is seeking. It's a flattish squarish comp board yeah? It certainly was when I rode it. I'm sure the Jaime would be closer of the north boards.
I've held the cabs and nobiles side by side. Nobiles are significantly lighter.
Calibre is heavy, like a brick. Break like one too!
Team board is a nice ride although the only time i've used one in the waves was head high and 30+ trying to get into orbit, so cant comment on how it works there.
Team is no where near as stiff as it was back then, flexes more like a Jaime but stiffer in the tips.
