Man i rode the 134 comp board with comp straps on saturday and sunday and WOWI WOW they are sweeeet boards!
They are smoooth, very very fast, very nice pop, good landings, fully tracks on the landing which was nice, never spun out on dodgy landings. the landings are prety soft too which was nice, the board is light, and very light compared to the 08 Cesar or 08 Recoil standard.
The comp lace straps are creaming, never had a strap so comfortable and secure in my life!![]()
As for the concept 135, i rode this with union bindings on and wow its a ncie board! i rode pretty underpowerd on a 12m but still got up nice speed and pop for the conditions, this board has quite a flat rocker compared to the mission so it is a lot faster and you dont need as much wind to be lit on them, pop is better, better responce, nice landings, fully locks a good rail when u apply a bit of heel pressure.
Overall: The recoil was a very fun fast board, easy to throw around in light and strong winds, nice landings very smooth etc. only comment is initially it looks a little bulky but u really dont feel or notice it whilst riding, im totally stoked!
The Concept was one sweet bootsie board! i loved it and really couldnt decide which one of the two boards i prefferred so hopefully i can get enough money up to get both
im starting the charl DV kite fund, if anyone feels like donating feel free.
its only a doller, have a heart.
I also rode the new Mpro Concept 135 the other day. Its been sitting in my car for the last 5 though lol..
I liked it, rode with a 9m in nicely powered up conditions, mix of butter flat water and chop where i was riding. Also rode her with Comp STRAPS so i could directly compare to the other boards in the range... Oh and i weigh 70kgs
On first inspection it looked as flexy as the Recoils: Nup... Its stiff as a rock in the water, and i found you need to be goin uber quick with a lot of power to really get the same spring off the water as the recoil / Aura...
The wider outline and nice tip shape make it pretty smooth through chop, they do well to counteract the lack of flex in the board :)
The thing i noticed most was how comfortable the board was in the water, It really finds its optimum position and just sits there with no input from the rider really. Its quite a 'Nose down' board compared to recoils but thats cool, very similar to an Element in that regard...
So yeah overall i liked it; but i like the Comp Aura/Recoil's better. If your used to riding around fast and loaded then you will love it, Also boots will help massively too, I'll try my unions on them next time I head out.
Its definately a wakestylers board, and its miles ahead of the mission :) But if you dont like bindings, go a Comp Recoil :)
