I watch these ads of top pro's jumping 50ft megaloops , as if that's the kite for me. In reality I want a kite that let's me do my grabbed front rolls, double backs, hand slide back rolls etc, and I know where the kite is at all times. Medium bar pressure is fine, I don't care what material it is , and I want an 11m. My daily driver is currently a10m edge v12 and I hate it. It turns like a slug and the bar pressure is ridiculous. V11 was way superior. I wanna kite like Steven Akkersdijk does, well at least in my dreams haha...
Funnily enough I'm looking for a big kite that turns like a slug so that I can practice similar tricks because my 10m corners like a race bike so the slightest steering movement generates a big dollop of power to throw you off balance.
Try the Reedin kites. They are responsive but have a slightly numb bit at the centre to avoid accidental steering on one handed tricks. The new hypermodel is a nicer flying kite but the supermodel has slightly nicer power in the loop so loop tricks are a bit easier to get the power to pull you out of the trick. The old (gold) hypermodel I didn't like. It had too much bar pressure to steer.
