Hello,
Hello,

Please help me to choose the right chimera size for strong wind and for my weight of 70 kg.
I am using a twintip 135x38.
I have an Argo 2010 11m and I can ride with it until 25 knots.

I am wondering what is the best size for a chimera in order to ride comfortably from 22/23 knots until 35/40 knots.
If the wind range of the chimera 6.5 begins at 20/22 knots for my weight I buy this size.

Can you help to choose please?

Thanks
Jérôme

I weigh 75kgs and ride a 136cm board.
I have an 11.5 Argo & 8m Chimera.
I now almost exclusively ride the Chimera. It comfortably gets me going in 18-20 knots. I've found that much over 30 knots starts to get a bit uncomfortable. If the wind is regularly above 30 knots in your neck of the woods, I'd go with the 6.5m.

Hi Jerome,

Choose Griffin on the Brand Filter and you'll find a threat about Chimera 6.5 that I opened some time ago.

Have a look at Chimera wind ranges information on griffin web (updated information).

If you want more top end, go for the 6.5. I think you could get out easily in 20/22 and you'll have bigger range adding the 6.5 to your Argo 11. Maybe you could use shorter lines if you need a little bit more top end with the 11.

I would go with the 6.5,I'm 95 kg and have no prob on the 6.5 in lulls round 18 knots, haven't found the top end yet for my weight, thus far have had out in 43knots, so you'll be sweet in 18-40.
