Hi All,
Got the Dundee right now. (42 wide) (Trax I would go 40.5 wide)
The Dundee is a great board. Super easy to use. Little spray and good overall control.
I am contemplating the Trax though. (2015 carbon model). I am hoping to retain the ability to ride waves, upwind ability etc. but hope to gain better carving (The Dundee slides a bit in the size I have) and increase the pop. (that should be no problem. I used to ride Cabrinha Custom... awesome pop etc. but to cumbersome upwind especially with current adding to the problem. Still want some of that back)
Anyone have any experience on the 2015 Trax (or 14 as it is almost similar ).
I weigh 75 kg. Advanced kiter. Love to ride powered and always ride on the coast. Like to mix tricks, boosting and hacking away at waves. Recently bought a SB as well so I got the low end covered. 42 wide is the max I can get away with but it is a bit of work hence 40.5 wide for the future.
Just looking for some feedback.
cheers
Rene
First up, havnt tried the 2015 trax but have demo'd and enjoyed the dundee somewhat. Owned 2013 trax, which was a great board and ticked all boxes. 2014 trax was a little stiffer in the same size and made me want to either go up one in length or widen the stance for the hot landings.
With how Fone evolve their gear,Id hedge bets on the 2015 trax being a better pick then the dundee, based on alot pop and upwind ability. I found the dundee slid out easier on waves then the trax - upwind wise maybe i was just more use to the trax
If u get a chance to try a late model acid, give it a demo too
thanks GCDave,
I will try and get a demo. Basically you confirmed my thoughts. The Trax will do all the Dundee does but with better pop and better tracking through turns.
thanks for the feedback!
Totally off topic but have you tried the Nobile NHP?
Worth a try as its a beautiful freestyle board that totally kills it in the waves as well (no affiliation just a happy punter).
Cheers
