Didn't see a change to the bar interns of quick release and the most important thing it doesn't have....a bloody swivel. If this is the case, farq me are you serious!! Don't bandit riders loop and roll? I do and it pisses me off
There is a swivel on the stainless steel bit where the centreline splits (b5). Tends not to 'swiv', but fact is that it is there.
Poor grammar. Between that and the correct spelling of 'Superfantastic' its all going to zhit really.
Yeh saw that on kiteforum. Good. That's better. The quick release is not a big issue, it works. But you gotta wonder why they continue to use this. Nice nice kite though. The b5 I mean.
Yeh Bennie I'm still scratching my head on why such a good kite is paired with an inferior albeit functional bar set up.
You'd think that with the money they charge they would get someone fluent in english to hype the kite... I mean come on! This is why the world take the piss out of the french speakers... Terrible.
I have to agree. That French bloke didn't really sell it. According to the kiteboarder review fone have tweaked the briddle a little, added a new scuff patch and stiffened the canopy. Hardly innovating stuff for the huge price tag.
Certainly makes the 25 percent off bandit 5's more attractive!
Where is the all the flyers reviews and maritious test Reviews they usually have to hype the kite up?
Their own website is still out of date with no prices anywhere. All seems a little sleepy and slow this year?
Have they put brighter lines on the bar this year so you can see which way they are twisted better the blue and red lines of other bars much easier to see than the dull green.
Is the handle any fatter this year? Last years was too thin.
Will continue to use my ozone bars which are alot better and cheaper I think.
Hopefully they will change the colour scheme on their website as well. The dull grey background that gets darker as you scrill down the page to the point where the text cant be read on todays mobile devices was hurrendous and annoying. The web designer should be shot for that being that handheld devices are where is at now. Certainly wasn't iPhone freindly!
Yeh not as worried about the marketing myself. But the bars inability to swivel the front lines out and the quick release it just weird. Do they live on another planet or something. France maybe.
Bloody good kite though. Shame. I like the thin bar...good size I believe.
The bar is just one colour, but the printing on the leader line floaters are red and blue. Not as good as bold printing on the bar of course, but the French maybe put practicality behind style? Also, all the baging of this guys English, how many languages do you speak??
Yeah, I mean I'm sure the F-one guy is a good guy and all but I just find it sad that i struggle to find sponsorship opportunities to stay here despite my fluency, I'm just jealous cause he's got a great job and all. Sucks to be french right now for me... So yeah had a go because I'm gutted I'm gonna get kicked out of here in May 2013 despite wanting to stay...
Well I guess all you can do is keep trying. What sort of skills do you have .(apart from an impressive collection of languages).
You never know, you might meet a nice Northampton farm girl! It happened to me!
yep, my best skill may have to be being very charming! I'd be that lucky to meet Mrs right like that... Yeah loads of skills but nothing in demand list! Story of my life...
Getting way off topic here!
But when you come to Northampton you should catch up with Ben and Clement, a couple of frozzies who run Kitewest. They are the main kite school in Gero (taught me earlier this year). You will find them at point Moore in Gero whenever there is any wind. Great guys.
The fact that you guys are talking about your language prowess ( which is impressive by the way) and great farm girl companions says it all about the B6
you'd think they'd come up with a new name or radical graphic design huh? big kite companies seem to be unwilling to invest towards marketing hype (or rep)with the arrival of cheaper brands with very aggressive branding/reputation boosters changing the game...
How about we all wait til we can get our hands on a B6, try it a few times and THEN form an opinion![]()

I know it's a pretty innovative concept but I could be on to something...
Yep mattress is right here I'm afraid. I really do love the how the bandit 5 flies, perfect 12m kite for me on the sector, powerful, yet smooth and turns so damn fast. Suppose I'm just bummed the bar is not up to industry standards. Feels great, nice and light don't get me wrong but the lack of a front line swivel is just bloody criminal. I was really hoping they'd sort this on the b6 so that's probably why I'm getting my knickers in a twist.
A good few review will help a lot.
I hopefully am chopping in my 12/9/7 bandit V's for 10/8 bandit 6's on 20th Sept and am guessing they'll be a refinement on the B5 which is brilliant anyway.
Graphics look great and I don't car about the bar, I use a above the bar depower BWS one which is perfect anyway.
Will let you know.

I'd go an 11/8 combo rather than a 10/8 combo, too much overlap. I have a mate with an 11/8 combo of B4's and he is very happy with it. The 11's on previous bandit models can generate plenty of power.
Big differences in power in the 11 & 12 b5's,but 10/11 are pretty close.
White bar, annoying swivel/marketing i dont care. Cant wait to get my hands on an 11 b6 & 134 trax8. Bring on the bandit stoke ![]()
The bar swivels fine and is a great piece of kit.
I use my 9m probably 75% of the time and hardly use the 12m as have a drive to the beach and don't bother unless it's windy.
The 10m and 8m will be good replacements for the 9m and the low end on the 10m is improved. I only ride surfboards and if it's light I'm on my skim board rather than change kite size.

Mike,
have you had a chance to ride the new B6s yet? If so, how is the bar pressure and steering forces compared to B5? And any other feedback on them, please =)
I am really stoked about B5s for waveriding, thanks for the kiteforum.com advice on them. They are really super kites for waves, especially since we have onshore wind and they are the first kites with Ozone Reo, which handles these conditions very well.
BTW, I am using the 12m2 a lot for freestyle strapless riding and really like it.
