F-ONE TRIBAL 07-HELP

Mate the first tribals are sick kites, so i guess the tribal two will be pretty good as well. They will differ slightly because they have changed the centre line configuration slightly to resemble what the impacts are doing, but believe me they could not of got it more perfect than the way the lines are configured on the first tribals, because every time i throw my kite or when unhooking and the force is too great or i just get down right scared and i end up letting go of the bar, the kite seems to float in mid air for an instant, allowing me to regather the kites form before it even looks like going into a swan dive towards the water and even when it does hit the water you simply reach down the safety line a few feet and the kites like new again.Mate im very impressed with the tribals,but one and two are two different kites. dodgy59 , I have been flying the tribal II for a few weeks now and its totally awesome.. I preferred to ride the impact over the 06 tribal because of the "feel" in that the tribal felt a little different to most of the other c's I have ridden. The tribal II is a huge refinement and I have had the chance several times in the past weeks to directly compare the tribal 13 I and II in the same winds at the same time.

the differences are

1. The valve velcros are now sewn to the kite so that in a hard impact its pretty much impossible for the valves to come undone

2. The tips have a new cross cut that has seemed to eliminate all tip bend / stretch or deformation that could occur in high winds or / and if the kite wasn't pumped up hard enough.

3. you don't need to pump the kite up rock because the wing shape is more aerodynamic and keeps its shape even in the heavy gusty crap with back lines full sheeted on.

4. the kite is lighter and has lost both drag and weight as reinforcements have been subtracted or altered to be lighter and more efficient. is there are no black bulging neoprene reinforcements ( I don't think youll find another kite around that is as light for the size , apart from rammies.)

5. The fifth line attatchment point movment has made the kite lighter to flip onto its back if you happen to land it leading edge down in the water, ie you can just pull the fifth line by hand whereas I found pulling the tribal I 13m by hand in strong winds very difficult.

6. The bridal is gone and the 5th line is still able to go tight and tilt the kite forward whilest the safety leash remains relatively loose , and now encorporates a length of bungee chord.

7. Flying wise I have found the tribal II's to be smoother in every movement, faster in the turns and accros the window and basically somewhere between the 06 impact and tribal , but i would say more so it flyes like the impact , but the pull isn't as direct, ie smooth

Those are just the differences I have noted between the two and if I had to choose it wouldn't be a decision, I would got he tribal II hands down even if it cost more.

I couldn't see them improving it any more because I havn't found anything annoying or lacking about it al all. Make sure you try one out if you get a chance! If your around Newy I'll give you a go on one of mine.
ps , what have you ridden so far?

Im about 78kgs, the 11 metre will be good from about 14 kts up to around 30, if you were only getting one kite , and get winds mostly in that range, I would get an 11 metre.

The depower on the o7 is as good if not better, so you'll love it
