Anyone in Perth got one of these ?
I am looking for a new strapless board, primarily for Perth metro. I'm having no luck organising a demo, and can't contemplate buying one without a test run. Am hoping a kind member might help me out...
I have a 5'10 that you can try, stock is an issue though at the moment !!
what size are you thinking?
Reading their website, they recommended a size smaller than what you normally ride. So a 5"10 would be the go for me. I'll pm you for more info, unless you want to share your thoughts on the forums ?
Hi, I am also interested in the board, so if possible, please share your thoughts on the board and also, what's the weight of the board?
Thanks!
my kite buddy has just grabbed one, hes looking smooth as on the mitu board
backroll grab, front strapped?
Picked up my Mitu on NYE courtesy of Jason from Westoz Kiteboarding. Loving the board - super impressive. 10/10 to Jason for organising one at such short notice.
Did end up buying the mitu pro? How are you liking it?
Am very tempted myself to splash out but with no demos available in NSW will not be able to try before I buy!!
Yep - got it New Year's Eve so have had a couple of months on it now. I'm really happy - deck pad is grippy without any wax, board planes well, turns well, I'm far from am expert but I'm sure it has lifted my wave riding a little. I've used it both strapped and I strapped, and despite lots of crashes and being washed up on the beach it still looks good as new. Well worth the price IMHO.
Are we talking about the same board ? It's super light - like a conventional surfboard. Makes my old 6"2 Airush Converse feel terrible.
I ended up getting the mitu pro 5'10" I'm 95 kg and have only ridden it strapless so far. I think it more than lives up to the hype, it's so unbelievable comfortable to ride a feels like it's stuck to your feet. The deck is beautiful and it's so stable through turns and over chop. I was previously riding my surfboards for strapless wave riding but this makes it twice as easy with far better flex and stability while under the power of the kite. It rides the wave beautifully too although I'm yet to try it out in anything of size. It is slightly heavier than my regular surfboard but you really don't notice this on the water. Build quality is excellent too. What a quality board and worth every dollar if you like strapless in my opinion
I couldn't agree with you more Nitrous.
Saying boards work for surfing and kite surfing is marketing BS. None of my surfboards come close to my two >6' kite specific thruster surfboards.
Great to read about vacuum bagged bamboo laminated EPS performance. Tough choices to be made...
