Rider: 82Kg - 4 years experience
Style: Freeriding, Surf, Wake, Freestyle
Weather: 9-13 knots
Build Quality: 10/10
Satisfaction: 9.5/10
Board - Twin tip

My Comments:

Took the 19m LW version of the CORE XR2 for a ride. To cut to the chase, in 9-13m it got me going ok on a twin tip. Had good resistance for loading up pop. Could jump, but not super exciting. Turning speed. Couldn't complain. Fast enough to loop, but was like kite looping on Valium. Probably good to learn loops with. Good speed across water, upwind good. in the lulls it drifted back and caught the wind again, self landed like it was on valium also. Relaunched ok, tried to reverse launch it, did it fine. Summary - A good lazy Sunday arvo kite, probably dreamy on a Raceboard (if that floats your boat), good unhooked ability in light wind, no great revelation in jumping in light wind, good for newbies to learn new moves as everything is in slow.... motion.
P.S. I didn't use the line extensions. One would expect more power, but slower.

The line extensions make it cooler, it actually seems faster because you've got more room in the air. Definitely a must-do for the 19m!

I kept underlooping our 19m XR2LW a few weeks ago and only using the top half of the window... Had to keep slowing down the turn to use the whole window.

HI, yeah it's an awesome kite.
Ivé only been flying since mid sept this year so still wet behind the ears maybe been out about 16 times.
Bought it last week and just took it out at Elloitt Hds beach in 10-12knts (im 85kgs). Is very different to fly compared to my f-one B4's, best way to describe it is B4's are like sports cars very quick to get going, and the 19m core is like an old diesel 4x4 slow (gotta hold the bar in longer after you dive it to let it build power and speed) but boy once this thing gets going it's powerful and it just trucks upwind with ease, could have just kept heading out but got worried when I was way out by myself so just down winded back to my start point and waited til the wind picked up to around 15knts then a few guys came out with their 17's and I felt much safer so it was on for about another hour until I started to notice the 12's and had to call it quits a little bit after when it hit 17-18knts and only able to just hold my ground, but maybe thats cause im still a noobie in this awesome sport.
Hopefully with a bit more time learning all the finer bits of this great kite and lite wind tecniques I could maybe even hit the 8knt mark.
