Rider: 90Kg+equipment, Intermediate
Style: Freeriding, wave on twin tips and occasionaly on directional.
Weather: Weak non thermal winds, susceptible to increase.

Got already the Chimera 8m and waiting the 10.5

Would like the windrange and the reactivity of the Chimera as well as the Argo's low wind grunt .

Chimera or Argo in 13m or so to replace a 2009 Nemesis 12m?

Any comment greatly appreciated.

Have a nice ride.

The argo has a better bottom end than the chimera, so given this kite will be your large kite I would go the argo, I have heard Chris say in other posts that the argo is his goto kite in the bigger sizes, chimera in the smaller sizes.

Go for the Argo 13.5 way more bottom end than the 13 chimera.

Hi Seeya!

Have a look at Griffin web about Chimera 2011 (information recently updated):

http://www.griffinkites.com.au/about-the-kites/2011chimera

On Wind range and Sizing they say textually --> "The Chimera is available in 5m, 6.5m, 8m, 10.5m, 12m and 13m ( we suggest the Argo for light winds and larger sizes ).

I understand that Chimera 13 is an option for heavy weights.

As a bigger kite for light winds, go for the Argo. I use the Argo 13.5 most of the time here in Spain.

All my best!!

If u already have chimera id buy another chimera i hate having 2 different kites, if u like ur chimera buy another one if u dont maybe trade it in and buy 2 argos.

Been riding and testing chimera and Argo for a while ,I prefer the chimera in 6.5 ,8 and 10.5 but you can't beat the Argo 13.5 for the light stuff in the 12-14m range, the 13 chimera is more like the 11.5 Argo for wind range ,has maybe a little more on the bottom but nothing like the Argo 13.5 ,both griffin kites so all good.
