My Comments:

I have a 2010 North x-ride 142xSomething atm and am looking at possibly another board instead of another kite (current kites: 2010 10m Rebel, 2011 14m Rebel). What size would you recommend for the upper wind range. I am thinking something that i can hold down the kites better to boost big with.... i am starting to get into basic Airstyle (plebstyle more like it) and want something with a little pop. i think i will be using it on all types of water (just relocated) wave, wind chop and flat water.

thanks in advance

Cam

Would a 132cm be too small for a high wind board. Or should i look at say 136cm?

Try a 138 cm slingshot asylum. Awesome board and would be good size as I'm near 95kegs and it's a sweet wake, powered up board for me...

C4m, I ride similiar gear and around 90 kg,

I used to ride an Xride great board. I am riding a Shinn 136 dundee (secondhand of sea breeze).

Any Freeride board around the 136 x 42 should be on the money for high winds for your size.

I currently ride

kites: 17 Metre Zephyr, 10 Metre 2010 Rebel, 7 Metre 2012 Rebel

Boards: 136 Dundee (when the surboard is not holding on), 5ft 8in Underground kipiuna, North wam 5ft 10in (got rid of my Firewires)

Looking to get: North Nugget, North Pro series 5ft 11in, Maybe a 11 & 8 Metre North Dice (having more fun being a kook in the waves)

Just remember that its the width that counts when gettin a board, most modern kiteboards are quite wide. I like the shinns as they hold an edge very well and are very smooth boards to ride. Too bad they dont make the dundee any more.

I would also check out Axis Vanguard 136 as well. Axis make it in a full carbon as well it has mean POP.

A smaller x ride would work, the newer models are a fair bit stiffer than the 2010 which was very flexible, I had the 2010,11,12, but found they gave a bit of spray and got heavy on the knees in chop after a big session, here's some that I've liked, crazyfly raptor, xenon laluz and infra, fly board radical, shinn Dundee super shinn and monk which I own, you'll struggle to find a nicer all round board as the monk

The Xenon Laluz is a great board. Plenty of pop, goes upwind well, light and soft on your knees when you land. Highly recommend it.
