Hi,

I'm usally riding a TT but wan't to start taking advantage of the small wave in Perth and I'm looking for a new board. I've seen the North Whip and the Airush Chop top. Any comment on those two boards ? Would you recommend other boards ?
Any help appreciated

Cheers

Try a cabrinha chopstick, only $600 brand new from Kite Addiction and great for what you want. Was in head high waves & 25 knots yesterday and board held up well for a twin tip. People think a board that cheap can't be any good but it's great.

Hi Alex,

We have a demo North Whip in store. Fantastic board and they have been this years best selling surfboard for us. The Whip is designed specifically for small waves such as Perth coast delivers. It's fast and delivers heaps of drive from the Quad fin setup.

The board is very loose and basically will do all that is asked of it. I ride the 5'8" Whip and also the 5'11" X-Surf strapless mostly and the moves I have completed on these boards never cease to amaze me. I reckon they make me surf better than I deserve at times.

Thanks luffdaddy for the advice. I realize my post wasn't really clear. The program of my TT is already freeride/small wave but I'm looking for a surf board.

also the BWS Drifter is a great board for perth waves .these will be available for demo at KITESTOCK and available shortly after. dimensions are 5'9 x 18 and 3/4 x 2 and 1/4. these have swallow tail and get going super early due to volume. ive been riding one for over a year now and works a treat for perth and handles the bigger stuff well too.
heres a pic of what they will look like

+++1 for the whip from me. After demoing a few different boards I have settled on the 5.5 whip (last years model) just feels so natural under foot, I am having a ball on this thing and hurting in places I didn't know existed...

Yep I have been using a Drifter for quite a while and think it is a great board, they charge upwind and are very smooth and stable through the chop, great for small Perth beachies.
